South Park Death Threats

Thats what happens when you stick the dick in the righteous.

But any comment Moe makes will be censored so the others can just reply “What was that? Sorry, I couldn’t hear you.” and kick him out anyway.

Are Matt and Trey just going to move on or are they going to address the censorship issue in the next episode?

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we’ve been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn’t stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn’t some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle’s customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn’t mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We’ll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we’ll see what happens to it.

From what I hear, so has Netflix.

Those bastards! They killed Kenny’s South Park!

No, it was made quite clear who Cartman’s father is. I hope Comedy Central comes around and re-airs it or puts it on the website, censored or no. It didn’t hurt the big reveal in the slightest.

I think I’m being stupid, but in part 1, they said Mohammed over and over, didn’t they? Or did I forget some bleeping? Is that what they were bleeping out over and over in part 2? I have to say it left me scratching my head. And what could Kyle possibly have been saying that required the entire thing to be bleeped? It makes zero sense.

I finally got my hands on the censored version. They were definitely always bleeping the word Mohamed (and a few curse words.)

And I have to admit that the bleeping of the moral at the end was hilarious as shown. Surely Matt and Trey at least had something to do with this. “Well, of you’re going to bleep the guy’s name, you might as well bleep the entire message.” The following quote is too frickin’ hilarious:Kyle: That’s because there is no Goo, Mr. Cruise. You see, I learned something today [beeeeeeeep]
Jesus: That’s right. Don’t you see, Gingers, [beeeeeeeep]
Santa: That’s right, friends[beeeeeeeep]
Stan: [Turns his head, and does his stereotypical] Yeah.
Almost as funny as the ending. For once I didn’t predict either Cartman’s joke, nor the one on Cruise in the credits.

Wait, what? (Joke in the credits.)

[spoiler]With that buildup at the end, with the kids promising Cruise to send him to a place that he would be happy forever, I expected that they were going to take Cruise to Imagination land, instead he was sent to the moon…

To lie dead next to the also dead killer whale (Willzyx) that they sent to the moon in an early episode, thinking that they were freeing it.

Same soundless ending with the only difference being the body of Cruise next to the whale[/spoiler]

Just saw it myself, and I have to disagree. I think Matt & Trey handed in a version without any audio bleeps except for swearing. I think Comedy Central bleeped Mohammed’s name and the moral at the end.

Trey & Matt obviously put in their own visual CENSORED bar over Mohammed. But for audio bleeps, there is no reason for them to bleep out his name, since they didn’t in part 1. And there were no jokes about or depending on the name being bleeped. For example, we know the visual CENSORED bars were intentional because that helped construct the joke at the end when Tom Cruise got the goo and then got his own CENSORED bar.

Jesus Christ…they removed the opening credits from season 6 (which contains stock footage of the super best friends, including Muhammad) from southparkstudios.com … they’re really going hardcore with this retroactive censoring!!!

I wonder if the [CENSORED] bar over Cruise was deliberately cropped for his closeup, as in the closeup the letters SORE fill the screen, flanked by portions of the N and D preceding and following it

Nice shoutout to South Park in this week’s Simpsons episode.

What was it?

Bart’s chalkboard gag in the opening sequence - “South Park - We’d stand by you if we weren’t so scared.”

At the risk of hijacking - look it up where exactly? I’m afraid I don’t tend to read the Daily Mail archives.

The group that issued these warnings consists of only 10 to 12 people. Its leader was a college student with no political leanings two or three years ago. I have seen statements from many other Muslim organizations that say they do not agree with them. I have not seen any groups that support Revolution Muslim.

Several Muslims have said that Revolution Muslim has gone so far over the top on numerous occasions that it seems they are deliberately trying to provoke hatred of the Islam religion and its followers.

I have to agree. I think that this group is a shadow group that is deliberately trying to inflame people for reasons unrelated to religious beliefs. I would not be surprised to find that there was a covert connection to an extremist “American Patriot” group. Dick Cheney is probably jealous that he didn’t think of it first.

Or it is a false flag operation, as Wikipedia says; “The group of 5-10 members devoted to Abdullah el-Faisal was run by Yousef al-Khattab, born Joseph Cohen, an American Jew who converted to Islam in 2000 after living in Israel and attending an orthodox rabbinical school there, then returned to New York.”

Belated thanks, man.
