While I’m in Ohio for the moment, I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. I’ve also lived in Murfreesboro, Nashville, Ridgeland, MS, Atlanta and Knoxville. I’ve only been out for 2 years and I want to move back. Gotta have a job there first though.

Leaving in 15 minutes to move in a freshman. The Bulldog in me doesn’t quite know how to feel about this.
Born in Chattanooga, TN by parents from Dalton, GA and Paducah, KY.
Live in Florida now, but long for the Smokey Mountains.
Married to a southerner. Have a hard time imagining myself being with anyone who isn’t familiar with my culture.
The only family members that have married yankees are the crazy ones. Fortunately, as is our southern way, we have a few. It seems the pattern is the crazier you are, the farther north you go. I’m the farthest south, so I like that theory.

My aunt and uncle, who currently live in New Hampshire but are building a house in west central Florida, are the worst kind of Damn Yankees: the ones who think they’re better than everyone else and have to educate the “backward Southerners” on the proper way to behave.
On the day they move into their new house, Mom and I plan to grab a couple of lawn chairs and a cooler, sit across the street and watch the fireworks when they meet their neighbors. 
With the exception of a minor excursion to Alaska in the late 70’s, I’ve lived in Tennessee since I was 2 years old.
Born and raised in Nashville TN. Every bit of family on my mother’s side lives within 50 miles of Lebanon TN, that’s all 12 of my grandmother’s sisters and brothers and all of the resulting cousins that I know of. We still see everybody on the 4th of July, every year. I’m named for my dad who was named for his great-grandaddy who was in the confederate cavalry, army of TN. His son (My great-grandaddy) was a moonshiner and bootlegger named Napoleon who got sent up to the federal prison in GA. He came back mean and the story is my great-grandmother killed him late one night after he passed out. Yeah, I’m from the South.

Not offhand, I do have somewhere a family history that a cousin of mine wrote up. I remember company K (I think), I’ll have to dig that up soon.
