Glad to see so many still watching.
Love this show and was sorry it was dumped, but glad TNT picked it up.
Hopefully it will run a few more seasons!
This season has been pretty interesting so far - characters getting fleshed out and becoming more “real” as the show progresses.
I’m pretty sure it’s not a good idea, not after the kid’s reaction when he got home.
That’s why he should move out.Nate’s dead, and I don’t think it’s appropriate for Nate’s son to transfer his parental affections to Sammy, at least unless Sammy is willing to remain in the kid’s life for a good long while.
I didn’t like Nate but it still rocked me when he abruptly got bashed and died.:eek:
I like Southland, it could stand to be on for a few seasons.
I’m confused. Besides the teenage daughter, how many kids did Nate have? I thought there were two, a little boy and a baby, but last week’s episode around 39 minutes showed two kids (it was quick, but I think they were both boys) and the baby at the table when Sammy arrived, and tonight he said they’re “all” asleep…
Sigh. I think I’m done. How many characters cried last night? The leaking the photos thing? Totally telegraphed. Man, I remember the episode where Sam’s wife went and took the photos of the gang members, the episode where (gah, what’s his name… the rookie) tried to help the stalking victim. The episode where Chickie catches the rapist (You’re not a cop! I’m a cop!!). They were good. It’s like they got an entirely different set of writers and they only know how to do the one-dimensional and the obvious. Ok, I’ve spoken my piece. 
Actually, think that a grand total of 2 characters cried in that episode, and both for perfectly understandable reasons.
Anyway, i thought the season finale was excellent. I don’t think i’d gush about it quite as much as Matt Zoller Seitz of Salon [warning: lots of spoilers], but i do agree with a lot of the things he found so compelling about the episode.
I’m really hoping they pick it up for a 4th season.
I really liked the finale as well.
I really think they did a good job fleshing out characters this season. I hope it’s picked up again, too.
I was glad to see Ben finally have enough of Coop and giving him the “rehab or I bust you” option.
Hope it’s back again.
I’ve been enjoying it. Definitely will keep it on my DVR.
Still one of our favorite shows and also hope it returns next year, although I think that is probably a given - it is not like FX has a lot of hit shows.
Depends on how expensive it is to produce, but they should be happy to keep it running if for no other reason that DVD sales and syndication.
Southland is pretty damn good. It’s not must-see tv, we usually end up watching it a few days later but I always enjoy it and I hope it comes back.
I’m really glad John went to rehab. Gee, a tv character is on drugs and it’s slowly but steadily ruining his life and endangering those around him? shock face Good gravy, it’s been done, let’s move on.
It’s on TNT not FX, that probably helps your reasoning, though. IIRC, FX has more hit shows than TNT.
Thanks - my bad. I get FX and TNT confused, as both have few shows that I DVR.
USA Network has lots, but FX (Justified) and TNT (Southland) both have just one that I watch regularly.
It seems as though it’s been renewed for season four.
