Last weeks was so boring to me, this week, I could not look away. Amazing.
Anyone?:o
Exactly the opposite sentiment from me. Loved last week, didn’t laugh once on this (well, except for the Sneezing Unicorn).
I’m with you singular1. The first three episodes of this season were great, so this one was kind of a letdown. There was really only one joke, that guys find farts funny but girls don’t. It couldn’t hold an entire half hour on just that. There were some funny moments though, the Sneezing Unicorn (followed by the Road Warrior (!) ), and the Live Aid song buy all the South Park men at the end was pretty classic too.
I’m with Tamara+. I laughted more at last night’s episode than I have in a long time.
Did I just see Martha Stewart blow confetti out her hoo-ha?
Great episode.
The terrance and phillip plot was a waste of time after the aprils fools joke, the rest of the episode was hilarious.
Its a good thing.
I thought the episode was pretty weak, but I loved last weeks. Interesting how the opinions vary.
Wasn’t last week the Coon episode? Did anybody think the beginning of this weeks episode was a reference to the end of last week’s episode?
No, last weeks was something about finances.
I thought the first two-thirds of last week’s was great but it tapered off. This week’s just made me yawn.
I fell asleep during last nights episode. I liked the little reference at the beginning about the whole “Cartman’s father” fakeout but the rest of the episode was meh.
Last week’s episode was so damn boring I stopped it about ten minutes in and deleted it from my Tivo. I laughed my butt off at this one. But I liked the last episode of Family Guy, so my opinion might not mean much.
I thought the beginning of this week’s episode was a reference to the first season finale, “Cartman’s Mom Is a Dirty Slut.” Viewers expected Comedy Central to air Part 2, “Cartman’s Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut” as the second season premiere on April 1, 1998. Instead, Parker and Stone submitted the Terrance and Phillip episode “Not Without My Anus.” Comedy Central received more than 2000 e-mails complaining about the switch. They had planned to run “Cartman’s Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut” on May 20, 1998, but moved it up several weeks to April 22. The boys’ furor over the T&P episode being changed to the Queef Sisters reminded me of this incident.
Is “queef” an actual word? Where I come from we just called them “fanny farts”, but clearly that wouldn’t work in the US.
Seeing the kids wanting to see the part.2 and knowing what the day was, I kinda knew where they were going, but never would have guessed where they ended up.
That damned ‘Road Warrior’ sealed it. I was already rolling the whole episode and then that thing started. I’d try and stop laughing to catch my breath, only to realize it was still going which made me lose it even more. ETA: What the hell was it ‘saying’ anyway?
Dunno if it is or not, but it was first used in the recorder concert episode, and then again in Mr. Garrison’s Fancy New Vagina. So it’s not without precedent within the show itself.
I’m not following SP as it airs, so no comments on the current season. I do find it a bit hit or miss though. Rarely is it unwatchable, but some episodes shine a lot more than others.
I loved Butters’s reaction to getting queefe on.
Other than that, it was boring.
I thought this episode was TERRIBLE.
I really liked last week’s.
(… and I also liked this week’s Family Guy, more than most lately)
Lines from The Lord Humungus’ Speech.
I transcribed these lines from the episode:
“So, we go in. We kill. No more talk. We kill.” “Soon, my dog of war. But we do it my way!” “You just, you just wait!”
In suburban Chicago, where I grew up, queef = pussy fart.
Sorry about the vulgarity, but this is a South Park thread.
