Oh boy was that close. Late season fade, combined with the red hot Indians breathing down their backs. They remembered their bats just in time, and pulled it out.

This’ll make the 5 hour drive tomorrow and Saturday afternoon at the Jake just that much sweeter.

Look for the screaming guy in the black Sox t-shirt, and the green pinstriped home jersey in section 450, that’ll be your bus guy. :cool:

I’m glad that’s resolved. Now Yanks just need to win a few and you can let Cleveland win a few and who does that leave out?

So I’ve been so absorbed in the divison race I haven’t paid attention to the wild card.

I’d prefer Cleveland at least lose Saturday, I’d hate to do all that nasty gloating and dancing on my seat just to watch the Sox lose, ya know?

I will be rooting for the White Sox.

I don’t give them a snowball’s chance in hell to win, but I’ll be rooting for them nonetheless.

Lets all hope the White Sox totally quit and get swept in the finale series. That way the Wahoos get the wild card eliminating one of the two eastern teams.

Haha! Go Sox! I have no doubt they will fail spectacularly in the playoffs (hello, Chicago+baseball=badness), but I’m rooting for them anyway.

To tell you the truth, the ideal outcome to this years postseason is with a World Series Champ in Cleveland. Hear me out.

Pros:

  1. The Cardinals lose in the WS to the Injuns
  2. The Astros lose in the first round, again.
  3. The Braves come up short for the 13th of 14 years.
  4. The Red Sox/Yanks don’t make the post season.
  5. No annoying Sox-Yanks hype all postseason.
  6. The White Sox lose
  7. No Rally Monkey or Thunderstix.
  8. No more listening to the Clevelanders bitch about being awful.
  9. Constant broadcasts of Major League

Cons:

  1. Constant broadcasts of Major League 2 and Major League: Back to the Minors

Actually, all these pros would still apply (except #1) if Cleveland went to the WS…and lost–to THE PADRES! Go San Diego! :smiley:

I have no problem with that, except it’s mandatory that the Indians make the playoffs thereby eliminating one of the two evil eastern empires.
