In the vein of the question about “Here Comes the Sun King”, does anyone know what the Clash are singing (in Spanish) in the song “Spanish Bombs”? I once asked a Spanish speaking friend of mine about this, but she claimed it was all nonsense.

From what I recall it’s just something like “Yo te quiero y finito, yo te querda, o ma corazon” (misspelled and but phonetically spanglish ala Clash)-- It’s just something banal, like “I want you and that’s all, I want you, oh my dear-heart.” The reason your Spanish friend probably couldn’t understand it and I with my BAAAAD high school Spanish can is because it’s so bad, I expect, and to anyone that actually KNOWS Spanish it sounds like Hell.
Yep. My high school Spanish teacher said it was basically a bad imitation of Spanish (though she was barely functional in Spanish herself).

Eh…from what capybara posted, the lyrics can also be “I love you and that’s all, I love you, my darling”…querer is “To want” or another form of “To love”
