Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.
Oh, ho, ho, irony! Oh, no, no, we don’t get that here. See, uh, people ski topless here while smoking dope, so irony’s not really a, a high priority. We haven’t had any irony here since about, uh, '83, when I was the only practitioner of it. And I stopped because I was tired of being stared at.
I had an idea that I think would add a little fun to this thread. When you see a quote and know off the top of your head what movie it’s from, then you would type the name of the movie before adding your next quote. No cheating allowed. If you don’t know what movie it’s from, then just add your next quote. Whatd’ya think?
Sounds like fun. It might be a good idea to put the movie title in bold or italics, just to keep it separate from the “in play” quote.
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity.
But I was a better man with you, as a woman… than I ever was with a woman, as a man.

My body may be a work-in-progress, but there is nothing wrong with my soul.
But what gives human life its worth… anyway? Because someone loves it, hates it? The flesh is weak, Johnny. Only the soul is immortal. And yours belongs to ME.
Ghost Rider
All men’s souls are immortal, but the souls of the righteous are immortal and divine.
Nope … it’s from Angel Heart.
He’s stuck, that’s what it is. He’s in between worlds. You know it happens sometimes that the spirit gets yanked out so fast that the essence still feels it has work to do here.
Ghost
I’m going in after her.

The fall alone would kill you.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
All right, I’ll go in there for Dorothy. Wicked Witch or no Wicked Witch, guards or no guards, I’ll tear them apart. I may not come out alive, but I’m going in there. There’s only one thing I want you fellows to do.
The Wizard of Oz
Prepare to be humiliated on cable television!
I’m interested in doing a weekly dramatic series based on the Ecumenical Liberation Army. The way I see the series is: Each week we open with an authentic act of political terrorism taken on the spot, in the actual moment. Then we go to the drama behind the opening film footage. That’s your job, Ms. Hobbs. You’ve got to get the Ecumenicals to bring in that film footage for us. The network can’t deal with them directly; they are, after all, wanted criminals.
The fall alone would kill you is from Titanic. Maybe it’s also from Butch Cassidy too? I don’t know.
- Off game. or is it now?
You are correct want2befree!
Titanic(1997)

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
The fall will probably kill ya!
I have been stabbed, shot, poisoned, frozen, hung, electrocuted, and burned.
…and every morning I wake up without a scratch on me, not a dent in the fender… I am an immortal.
