Sorry, submitted too soon:
Anyway, he knows damn well about Luke and Leia, but cannot do anything or say anything lest he tip off Sideous/Palpatine. He only really needs to act when they cross his path obviously in front of others.

Anakin’s arm: Maybe the tissues died before they could reattach it. Anakin was pretty far from base, and it was hot outside. Even besides that, the lightsaber probably vaporized an inch or so of arm. That might have been too much to fix. Remember in TPM you see Qui-Gon melting a metal door with his lightsaber.
I wouldn’t say it was ignored. Here’s what GuanoLad had to say in the original thread:

Ok, timeline. I can’t remember where I read it, but Obi-Wan is supposed to be 25 years old during TPM. (which seems right) That would make him 35 years old during AOTC. If the twins are born immediately (which I doubt…I’d guess 5 years), that puts Obi-Wan at 55 during ANH, in his 60s during ESB and RoTJ. I’d like to think that Luke and Leia are born about 5 years after AOTC, and so Obi-Wan is 60 during ANH.
So, my guess is:
0 years: TPM
10 years: AOTC
?? years: Episode III
35 years: ANH
40 years: ESB
45 years: RoTJ
Which would make Obi-Wan 60 during ANH, and Vader/Anakin 55 at the time of his death. It’s obvious that during RoTJ, Palpatine is very old. This timeline would make him around 95 at the time of RoTJ. (assuming he’s 50 in TPM)
All well and good, but check out gonzoron’s link to the cafeteria scene, look at a picture of Typho, and look at a picture of Jango. The cafeteria clones look MUCH more like Typho than Jango. All the other clones we see look like Jango.
I’m NOT saying that the clone army is a bunch of Typho clones. What I am suggesting is that there is a batch of Typho clones in existence, as well as Jango clones. Really, take a look at that cafeteria shot - you’ll second guess yourself.
If I were Sidious, I’d have a second batch of clones waiting in the wings to clean up after the current clones kill and are killed by the droids. Having the only full strength army in existence could ensure becoming the Emperor.
Of course, after reading my post, I see that I implied that Obi-Wan is still alive in ESB and RoTJ…his ghost is 60+
Why the heck would they have Typho clones? Any similarity is just an accident.
We have some proof that Darth Sidious = Palpatine. Maul and Sidious in Ep. I obviously talked in Coruscant, and that shot is supposed to be, according to the script, on Palpatine’s balcony.
"Biggest gripes:
Anakin’s arm - I’m willing to believe that they can’t make organic or hybrid type prosthetics until Episode V, but why didn’t they reattach Anakin’s arm? It didn’t fall in a pit like Luke’s hand.
C-3PO - So he runs away/is stolen so that he can spend time with R2? The Lars’ don’t have a problem with that? It’s not like he did anything helpful. At least R2 saved them from the machinery (though that whole scene was unnecessary and probably put in for video game spin-offs)."
a) The lightsaber’s beam may well have simply taken too much off and/or the burning action may have seared the fleash too much.
b) Well, Anakin built C3PO. I’m sure the Larrs’s felt they needed the droid less than the greiving Anakin. Cliegg has other reminders, but Anakin has to go away.
I understand that this is a stretch, and not substantiated. But the fact is, we’ve seen in TPM at least 5 Padme Amidalas in the same room together, one of which was specifically mentioned as a “decoy.” There are several posters on this board that maintain that Palpatine (also from Naboo) is a clone of Sidious. To draw a link between another Naboo officer to a cloning facility is certainly not that difficult to do.
For all we know, Typhus was planted by Palpatine to keep tabs on Amidala.
And for the record, I don’t think Typhus and Jango look anything alike.
OK, I could be made to believe that Typho is a clone. Maybe. And maybe even Palpatine, but not the handmaidens. I thought this too going into TPM, but a) they were played by different people. and b) Wouldn’t that mean that Naboo had some sort of official relationship with Kamino? Wouldn’t Padme mention this in AOTC? “Oh, yeah, that’s where I got my clones too.” or something. AOTC presented cloning as something very secretive, that wouldn’t be available to just anyone. (even the queen of some backwater planet).
You can explain away part b), but a) clinches it for me.
In Movieline I read that Ep. III is ~10 years after AOTC (it was an article about Hayden).
