Spider Man 2 Web Action Video Gaming System

My son says has seen commercials for this on tv. Apparantly, you strap something on your wrists and ankles and are able to play as the spiderman character on the television screen.

In shopping around for the holidays, I was keeping an eye out for this item. Not only can I not locate one, the people I ask (in the stores) haven’t heard of it. I tried looking on line and mostly find a MSN article about the toy- no places to buy one. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5549919/

I asked some moms at work about it and they were interested in getting one too. The only ones they found were on eBay and are costing $75.00 to $110.00. There were 5 of them. I personally don’t shop on eBay anymore (too frustrating), so I won’t buy one there, and I’m not likely going to spend $100.00 on this toy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1182&item=5940368768&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

My question is how can people on eBay have a toy that I’m not sure is real or even available? and why would a toy company run an ad for a toy that apparantly is not made?

Because it is real. It just appears to have very limited availability.

Because the toy is made. In fact, it would seem that it is manufactured by a company called Toy Quest. That particular product isn’t listed on their web page (I assume that is because it is a new item), but they make similar games, and every site about the item mentions that it’s made by Toy Quest.
