Spider-Noir, Spider-Noir, does everything that a spider's for

All 8 episodes have recently dropped, I’ve just started watching it.

In Black & White or full Color? Prime is giving streamers the choice, B&W is recommended though by the creaters.

BTW: It is streaming on Prime for those that don’t know.

Many are reporting it was Cage at his best.

I’ve literally only finished the opening monologue on the first episode, but was watching color.

The color version so far is filled with bright, saturated colors. Think the 1990 Dick Tracy movie.

Sounds like a good way to do the color.

I read a recommendation to watch it in B&W like it was intended to be seen, but to also watch one episode in color to appreciate the visuals. Seems like a good compromise.

I’ve got to admit that when I first saw the trailer I thought it was AI slop, but I plan on giving it a shot.

I’ve gotten so used to seeing Marvel properties exclusive to Disney+, I didn’t even see this coming. Sony is a promiscuous minx.

I know! I gave up Prime to protest Bezos, assuming I’d get enough of a super hero fix through other services. And now this!!!

C’mon, Jeffie, grow a conscience so I can sign back up for Prime! I need NextDay “Surprise-It’s-Here!” Shipping… and Spider-Noir!

Nicholas Cage is the Spider!
Nicholas Cage is Ghost Rider!
Nicholas Cage is Superman!

So he’s the Spider and a Coppola other guys.

Watched the first two episodes (B&W of course). I’m kind of shocked; it’s excellent.

I watched the first couple of episodes (in colour) and I’ve enjoyed it so far. My only minor quibble is that Nick Cage clearly looks like a 60 year old man (notwithstanding the black shoe polish in his hair) which would make him a trifle old to have been a doughboy 15 years earlier. Maybe he looks younger in black and white, though.

They fixed it. Watched episode 1 in glorious b&w. This show is definitely my jam, even though the plot seems very familiar.

I cancelled Amazon Prime months ago, but loved the trailer and just had to see Spider-Cage. Went to Amazon.com, there was a link, and I’m watching it.

What gives? I checked, and that didn’t sign me up for Prime… are they letting anyone watch the first few episodes?

eta: Watching in B&W (the way 1933 looked) of course.

Absolutely loving it. Perfect 1930’s gritty noir detective novel. All the aspects you’d expect - Cigarette smoking, drinking, tonal language, bars, nightclubs, torch singers, everything. And he happens to have webs ;). Really enjoying it.

Guffaw!

I was annoyed that they cast a 60-year-old to play Spider-Man. But now after watching the first couple of episodes I see why they did. It’s kind of the point of the whole story I guess.

Anyway I’m loving it so far.

We’re two episodes in. I like the look. I like most of the of the performances. But so far, the story is dull as dirt. As someone who has been immersed in Marvel lore for 50 years, this is a little too much like a holodeck episode of Star Trek.

Finished it. No in-depth review, but I liked it.

Looking forward to it. Will watch this weekend.
