EBWOP: I suppose that means I should unsub this thread, yeah? I mean, getting auto-delivery of posts to this thread in my email box would be rather uncool…
No one here knows anything, but yeah, I would say that unsubing this is proabably the kosher thing to do.
Oh…uh…I found someone else already.
Ah well, that’s what you get for hesitating DogMom. All that panic for nothing.
There have been two edited posts toDay.
Ped, you need to remind the players they can’t do this. I’m pretty sure they were innocuous edits, but this is going to create a slippery slope in the game if you don’t clamp down.
Personally, I would issue a warning that since these are new players you will give them a pass for previous transgressions, but any future ones will result in a modkill.
SUH-WEET!
Hah, see, procrastination is good for something. I knew if I dithered long enough he’d find someone else.
Ooooo, two new colors!
That seems to have thrown everyone for a loop…
Oh man, town is going to be in trouble if they don’t change their strategy soon. I am still unspoiled (thanks for the PM though pede, I will head over there after the end of this Day I think) but if the testerizer is working the way it seems to be…then they have set themselves up for a bad fall starting off the game the way they have. They gave themselves 2 days of lynches with almost no real data gathered about who is voting for whom.
No good.
Glad I asked pede where this thread was. I was looking for the “forbidden” thread but that’s not how he named it.
And may I just say that because of MHaye I’ve been singing the same damn song for a week now.
Pleased to meet you.
Ooof, NAF, I totally agree. I’ve been thinking that for a while now, and a few people have dropped indications of the same thing, but everyone pretty got swept away by the “Testerizer will win the game for us!” thing.
Good luck, town…you’re gonna need it…
Unless of course Freudian Slit turns up as werewolf of course, but two Days without vote data is going to hurt.
Looking at this color wheel, red and green are directly opposite, while aqua and teal are both blueish. Though the theory town gets two different colors and wolfs the same color twice is also possible.
I need another sub.
I’m probably going to get killed in my other game. And even if I don’t I don’t think the other game will require much of my time anymore. I’ll sub in if you need one.
Thanks. If Zeriel doesn’t show up by 10:00 AM Friday, you’re in.
I see Ichini is doing what I suggested. That’s some well-done analysis. I do think he’s concerning himself too much with the “Are werewolves farmers and ranchers as well?” thing, though. Personally, I feel regardless of which side people fall on, that’s a null tell at this point. (Though, once it’s revealed how the mechanic works, it might reduce the null tells down a bit, though, still, you could have wolves pretending not to know so it’s not much of a data point.)
And I think if you ever run this again, ped, you should have the testerizer occur either after four days, or do what MHaye suggested. I think the midweek thing provides too much of a distraction and tilts the mechanic in scum’s favor. (Of course, if this was an intentional thing meant as part of the balance, then obviously my comment doesn’t apply.)
Ooooo, now Telcontar is drawing some ire for his Bad Mathy Skills. I was wondering if that was gonna happen.
I’ve never played before, but it seems to me that the near unanimous votes for who to lynch are a Bad Thing. Anybody can say anything they want in chat, but voting is where your decisions really matter. If everyone votes the same way, there’s no way to pick out any patterns.
Well it makes it a whole heck of a lot harder. Voting patterns are a huge town tool in mafia games, and the system that the town has set up for this version eliminates the usefullness of voting patterns entierly.
There are other methods of picking out scum, but usually you use votes to sanity check your other ideas. If the votes don’t support your theory they usually don’t hold water.
I’m going to push it to day four of the Day starting toMorrow.
