SPN Again...

I noticed our Supernatural thread slid over the MB event horizon, so how about a new one? Especially since I promised trivia questions…

  1. What does Dean generally do with the cap after opening a bottle of beer?
  2. For which astrophysical concept did Ash find a practical use in heaven?
  3. Which artist’s new album had Charlie Bradbury just downloaded before she got tangled up with the Winchesters?
    Dig in!

His hobby is making these.

Frame dragging?

The Guild?

If I recall, Jim Beaver used to post on the Straight Dope Usenet newsgroup.

At least I think he did.

I thought it was funny when I told him, “You know they’re going to kill you off some day just for pathos, right”?

He also posted on here. His name is jumblejim.

Wow, Darren…nice April Fool’s. Now, what are your real answers? :dubious:
And how cool that Jim Beaver posted here!
BTW, thanks for not spoiling the new episode for me…I won’t get to see Ladies Drink Free until this coming Wednesday. However, this is an open-spoiler thread, so if I log back on before then, and somebody comments on the episode, eh bien!

We’re still enjoying Supernatural after all these years. Some of the plots are retreads, but the writing is usually sharp and the brothers are just fun to watch. And this has been a better than average season.

I also have been watching since season 1.

We’re behind several episodes, but we still enjoy the show too. I’d like to see Castiel get his groove back. He’s been a sad sack recently.

No kidding! And the show’s been renewed for a 13th season! There are so many ways the writers could go…
BTW, one of the best things about someone dying on this show is that he or she could so easily show up again. They could be resurrected, or appear in a flashback, or show up in heaven or hell or purgatory (we haven’t seen the Empty yet, but I bet it’s just a matter of time).

Well, this last episode was a good, straight hunt…with Mick maybe learning a lesson or two. Glad Claire didn’t die…how would Sam and Dean ever have explained that to Jody, or to Castiel? Hope the Winchesters learn the complete recipe for the werewolf cure. Oh, BTW…how do you produce a werewolf mouse? And does it eat the hearts of other mice, or does it prefer cats?

Well, here are the answers to my Supernatural trivia questions. I guess they were harder than I thought.

  1. Dean throws his bottle caps just anywhere! So far as I can tell, he’s never even aimed for a trash basket, let alone gotten the cap into one!
  2. When Ash was helping the Winchesters in heaven, he said it was great to finally find a practical use for string theory.
  3. Charlie’s new album was by Robyn. Heck, I didn’t think she had recorded anything since the nineties…

Shall we try again? Or, if you honestly hate these, tell me and I’ll stop. Meanwhile…

  1. What was the name of Castiel’s human vessel?
  2. Name a prank that Dean has played on Sam that wasn’t in the episode “Hell House.”
  3. Before Crowley became King of Hell, what was his demonic occupation?

Wow, I actually know one of them–he was a crossroads demon. (You might be interested in reading a manga named Me and the Devil Blues based on the same songs that the whole “crossroads demon” Supernatural plot point was derived from.)

(BTW string theory is (sub)particle physics, not astrophysics. You may be thinking of cosmic strings.)

I’ll try.

  1. Eddie

  2. :skip:

  3. Crossroads demon. Even made a deal, sealed with a kiss, with Bobby.

Shit! Right on, Darren…nice catch. That’s what I get for writing a thread in a hurry…

You and Mahaloth both got the new third question right. I always laugh at that scene:
“Why’d you have to take a damn picture?”…“Why’d you have to use tongue?”
