Spongemom - cooling

And so the best Pit week in many months dies down… :frowning:

Wikkit and DrDeth were right (see Discussion of Pit Rules sticky).

And you just end up with more horse shit.

Now that rocks!

Maybe not your intent, but exposing Spongemom to additional distress has certainly been the result, hasn’t it?
That’s why I applied the “thoughtless” term to you.

This has been fun, hasn’t it? And I haven’t even read Scott Plaid.

Apparently, no matter how many times it is explained that 1) her OP was a complaint about mod action, and therefore belongs in the pit, and 2) her OP was incoherent enough that it could reasonably be interpreted as a pitting of Spongemom and therefore belongs in the pit, Mynn will continue to piss and moan about the fact that her post was moved to the pit. She manages to bitch about it eight times in post #267, even though it’s been clearly established that it’s nothing to bitch about. She’s a fucking idiot.

Also, she is nearly as incensed at the idea that her closed thread was reopened. The horrors! She thought that didn’t happen! Well guess what, lady: you were fucking wrong. It is not wrong that your thread was reopened, so your compulsion to bring that up repeatedly is also unwarranted. But you don’t realize this, because you’re a fucking idiot.

The fact that you can’t put two coherent sentences together back-to-back is gravy. Merely additional evidence that you’re … a fucking idiot.

It’s not nearly as much actual fun. There’s a lot of frustration over there.

I just waded through both this thread and the original Spongemom thread and what stands out to me is that although Spongemom got (understandably) defensive, she thought about what was said and decided that there was some validity to some of the criticism that was flung at her. Which caused her to change the way she was dealing with the situation. Isn’t that what the SDMB is all about? Gaining information and using it for the better? So I, for one, hope she sticks around.

Mynn I have no opinion on. Some of you may have figured out what the Sam Hill went on here with her/him, but I’m not one of them.

Spongemom’s neighbors? I DO have an opinion about them. Spongemom may not have been proactive enough in protecting her kitties before now, but if the situation is as presented, these people are NOT doing the right thing. Not only are they NOT protecting other person’s animals from their dog, (who, as presented, appears to be vicious) they are not protecting their OWN animals from him.

What if that dog “escapes”? If that were to happen, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he attacked a child, based on the facts that have been presented here. I think that the authorities should be called in.
