Spray in bed liners

Anyone have experiance with spray in bed liners for pick up trucks? I have a ranger 6ft bed i’m considering having this done. I here nothing but good things about it. Anything to watch out for. What prices should i expect to pay?

You have a fish under your covers?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Spray in you mean?

I’ve had two trucks with the Line-X brand done. Hell I’ve thrown in bricks and broken concrete and haven’t scratched it. It’s been a few years but I think it was around $400.

I’ve seen other cheaper jobs done and you get what you pay for. It doesn’t seem as thick or even.

Put Line-X in an '06 Dodge Ram and am very happy with it. It’s some tough stuff and due to the roughness keeps things from sliding around.

I think it was (in July '06) about $500.

Fixed title.

Oh, you’re no fun!

My last two trucks were ordered with a sprayed liner…I wouldn’t take delivery until it was done. Obviously I am a great fan…I’ve carried rocks weighing several hundreds of pounds, gravel, etc. without any damage. The damage done on my beds before then was enough to have rusting set in, plus being unsightly.

Additionally, the liner keeps things from sliding so easily, and damage to cargo is less in the lined beds.

I seem to remember paying in the range of $300-$400.

My van has nose to tail spray liner that was already in when I bought it and it is fabulous. I used the van for delivery for several years and the only thing that managed to mess it up was a 1750 lb metal basket of machine parts–the guy loading it with a forklift didn’t listen to me when I told him to get his forks up higher and one of the feet gouged a flap about an inch square in the liner. It never came completely loose and never got worse either–just still has the same little gouge it’s had for like six years now. I especially love the stuff because it’s so easy to clean the van out–just get the front wheels up on ramps, clear everything out of the back and take a hose or pressure washer to the inside, then let it dry out.

I’ve had a few pickups that didn’t have liner and they all got scratched up pretty bad and tended to rust a bit–I had friends with those drop in liners but they always leak or get a hole sooner or later. Spray in liner is the best thing ever and I wouldn’t have a truck or cargo van that didn’t have it.
