Spring Break in Vegas.. Cancel?

One is considered a public health threat if one says it is overblown. That is what has changed over the weeks. I am still only as worried about it as I am of getting the flu. It now seems especially overblown given that these drugs seem to be a cure.

Holy…!!! You posted this today? After that Arizona couple (one died, and the other is in ICU) tried this completely idiotic “cure?” WTF???

You need a doctor to get it right. And I don’t understand the chemical stuff, but I get the impression they are technically different chemicals . You do realize the “Trump Pills” are all prescribed for other stuff don’t you?

If the Doc sez so, heed his advice.

Yeah the great outdoors is fine, but not if you have to fly there.

Note to potential Death Valley visitors: all restrooms, campgrounds, and visitor centers are closed. The Oasis at Death Valley and Stovepipe Wells Village have closed all lodging, camping, and restaurants. (Gas stations at Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek are open as of 3/25)

And you do realize that the people who need those pills for “other stuff (slow down on the medical jargon)” now are having a hard time getting them because people like you are spreading misleading medical information during a pandemic and other Covidiots are hoarding the pills? Surely, such a learned man such as yourself knows all this, right?

My SIL lives in Vegas and we were taking today. Liquor stores are closed but the dispensaries are now delivering.

I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t think given the global pandemic that there are a lot of people traveling to places with high risk of malaria, and thus be needing these types of drugs.

The better argument against Jim’s position, is that the treatment is untested and that even a stable genius has no business promoting such quackery.

If you can find a place to stay somewhere just outside the park like Beatty or Shoshone, it’d still be an amazing place to visit, even with facilities closed. The draw is the scenery, at least for me. Visit Dante’s view, hike to Darwin Falls, see Ubehebe crater and Badwater, especially with nobody else around, and it’d be AMAZING. Just make sure you have enough gas, water, emergency supplies, because it’s a LOT of driving around. And carry an emergency potty, too.

Now I wanna go to see the solitude . . .

If I read things correctly, there are several conditions (such as lupus) that require regular doses. Travel doesn’t seem to be a major driver of use.

If you don’t care about bathrooms or showers, 81% of Nevada and 42% of California are public lands, mostly BLM. You can camp out in one spot for 14 days, free, just pack your garbage out, please.

The only real vacation option right now is to have an RV and go sightseeing. In an RV you have your own food and most tourist areas are empty.

How about staying home?
