My understanding is that dark chocolate is the real problem, milk chocolate not so much. My MIL’s basset snarfed down 2# of fudge with no consequences, other than pissing off my MIL… Yeah, anecdotal and all that.
It’s almost time for a snort of nyquil - that should help me sleep.
About Mauser, I was on a trip with my sister. We left him in the car, and came back to find he had rooted out 2/3 of a bag of Mint Oreos from under the drivers seat, and was just before pollishing them off. He didn’t get sick, but his poo was kind of strange for a day and a half. I’m going to keep an eye on him but I think he’ll be okay. If something does go wrong I’m glad there’s an emergencyovernight vet in town. Thanks to those who are concerned. I love that dog so much.
PS To those who have asked in the past, he was named for a dog in a Clive Cussler nove. It is Arctic Drift, and in the hardcover edition Mauser appears as a black and tan dachshund on pages 224 to 226.
It was fun. Taxes didn’t get done (didn’t even start) so all that dreading was for naught.
I am glad. Their taxes get sent off to an accountant but mine are the simplest so we tackle those. She’s a fiscal contracts lawyer so governmental fine print doesn’t scare her. She makes a living intimidating people after all. We don’t call her tiny but mighty for nothing.
We’re gonna attempt the taxes next Saturday earlier in the day while Harriet is with her Grandpa and Sorenson’s dad can wrangle him. The adult to kid ratio Saturday will be 3:1, unlike today.
Ok, odd question but is crab Rangoon supposed to be spicy?
Reason I ask is I bought some “crab Rangoon” dip from Aldi’s and not only is the flavor noticeably artificial (they don’t even use krab it tastes like they just sprinkled the flavor from a ramen pack on it ) its spicy to the point of being hot which in my exp crab Rangoon isn’t at all … I don’t know if ill finish it
