Spring Into The MMP!

Well, then, Happy Ides to you!

hack koff wheeze:(:(:frowning:

My own computer is failing so I have to use this main family computer and it’s cold in this room :frowning:

My computer killed the MMP! Or everyone’s sleeping in. I slept in until about 8 but I was out late last night.

I’m on my own computer now. My files are being backed up. Hopefully it can be finished before I get the blue screen of death yet again.

Gray morning after a damp couple of days. Having a cup of hot Earl Grey tea with buttered toast and feeling very British.

We’re just back from breakfast and a run to the hardware store. I ironed the remaining 10 tea towels so that I can stencil them and take them to the store on Thurs. I don’t really want to do it, but I’ve got to get rid of those towels! They’re really thin and I don’t like them at all, but when I stencil either Amish silhouettes or red crabs on them, they sell for $8 and I pocket $4.56 each. Woohoo! The materials to make them cost maybe a buck each, so for all my labor hemming, pressing, stenciling, and putting in an iron-on that says “St. Mary’s County, MD” I earn $3.56 - I probably average a buck anna half an hour. Ah, retirement… :stuck_out_tongue:

Midget, I’ve been meaning to ask: what kinds of arrangements do you do, and what’s involved? Being, at best, a casual musician, I never even think about stuff like that.

And you know what they’re like, bless their hearts.

If its really cheap crap to burn the English tourists I say ---- AMISH, AMISH, AMISH, AMISH!!!

We had our yearly “no-coaster rollercoaster” event yesterday - basically a all day long banquet with most of the local parks (200 mile radius) attending and going over plans for both the UK trip (sending Herself herself) and the US convention (we’re both going to that). Saw a lot of friends and blew some of the cabin stink off.

Today voluntary extra hours at work. But time first to roam the Dope a bit.

Mooooom I arrange music so that it can be played on different instruments. I recently finished arranging a bunch of different pieces of music (some originally written for piano, some for other instruments) for clarinet and violin duet. I’ve arranged some music for clarinet choir (a group made up of many different kinds of clarinet.) So yeah, stuff like that.

I wish I could be a full-time composer/music arranger. And work on crafts too.

Howdy Y’all! Home from Luterun deheathenization. N.O.L. shall be forage the fridge. After we do the DAR thing this afternoon we’re goin’ to Steak 'n Shake AKA Stake A Snake because we have coupons. What? We’re old. We’re supposed to eat out before five p.m. and use coupons.

doesn’t anyone care that my head cold, possibly sinus infection, is slowly killing me? :frowning:

**rosie **- we care - we just don’t want your crud. I trust you’re wearing a mask and sanitizing everything you post!! Feel better.

Taking a stencil break. I’ve finished stenciling the Amish towels. I’ve put some black-eyed susans on 4 towels, and when I get back to it, I’ll do the crabs. I figure a couple more hours and I’ll be done.

: emails Jewish Penicillin and screwdrivers (alcohol sterilizes, and Vitamin C boosts the immune system). :

My boss is safe. Aside from how much I adore the guy, we’re all off work today, since the store is closed on Sundays.

Planted a packet of “Cherry Rose” nasturtium seeds along with a bit of spinach and radishes and neon-colored Swiss chard. Oh, and some red yucca seeds salvaged from pods on nearby landscaping. Hope springs eternal.

Red yucca: Hesperaloe Species, Redflower False Yucca, Red Yucca Hesperaloe parviflora

Gotta go. “Wait, Wait, Don’t tell me” is about to come on the radio.

Poor baby!
Can I have your* Fiddler* DVD?

Stenciling is done. I’ve eaten. I gave my sweetie a haircut, I vacuumed, and now I’m chilling. Still haven’t put the dishes away - I’ll need to get to that.

It’s sunny and quite windy out, so it feels colder than it is. I’m happy to stay indoors and veg. I just need to do the veg part.

You didn’t think I’d get close enough to give you a real hug did you?
I’m wrapped up in the crap that is my life today.

Back from the DAR presentation and Stake A Snake. What more could one ask of a Sunday afternoon outing?

{{{rosie}}} here’s Soft Kitty.

swampy, congratulations to Miss Becky for her years of service. This is coming from the recipient of a small scholarship from the DAR.

I got to take the first road test on my bike today. Aside from a little work needed on the clutch and purtification, it’s ready to go. My neighbor and I took a ride to the Appalachian Craft Museum on some nice hilly, windy roads. Yay, spring!

red there was a nice turn out to see Miss Becky get the award. I could tell that made her feel good.

However, I’m not sure how well they took my talk on my ancestors who fought valiantly against those upstart colonials.
