Spring Into The MMP!

Blurf.

Short irk day, 'cuz I have to go to Mordor On The Potomac for an appointment with my gastro quack. Driving in/to DC? I’d rather be at the orifice…

Oh! Oh!
Can I be Rat? With a baseball bat?

I’m showered and dressed and about to make a shopping list before venturing forth. And apart from procuring and smoking some ribs, I get to wash a load of underwear today! YAAAAAAYY!!

Only 2 more days of the antibiotic, and I’m glad. That stuff does funky stuff to my gastrointestinal tract. I haven’t needed any more painkillers, but unlike my MIL, I will take the full course of antibiotics as prescribed rather than saving some for future needs. I’ll also be glad when I don’t have to keep putting the ointment on my head. I know it’s necessary for the healing process, but the main components are petroleum jelly and mineral oil, so my hair and scalp in that area always feels gross and grungy. The stitches come out on Weds - with luck, I can resume normal life after that.

Well, as normal as my life is.

Anyway, stop distracting me. I have errands to run! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yesterday I found out that one of my favourite songs is in my favourite key! Hooray for D-flat major!
Yes, I know this won’t mean anything to most people. And it’s too mundane and pointless to write about anywhere else, so I’m shoving it into this thread.

I have to go to the bank and the employment office today, because, without going into details, people are trying to screw me over again.

Been selling some of my new music arrangements, so that’s good.

There’s much to be worked on today, as usual. I may not have a day job, but I still work away at my secret side career as a music arranger/composer.

And that’s all for now.

Up and caffeinating. Gotta run to the feed store for some dog food, and the grocery store for some tailgate fixings.

A cartoon with sheep and winery puns? You can’t Pinot that one on me.

We’ve always thought of you as a rat.

Screw 'em back, Midget!(Metaphorically, of course)

Oh, joy. I picked up a bug at my party weekend. hack koff wheeze Damned malfunctioning immune system.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s going to bee sunny and in the 50s today.
So far it is neither.

SSDD

Aluminum or classic Louisville Slugger? Hmmm…
Mom, which does Stevie the Bat prefer for kneecaps?

Back from a rather pricey grocery jaunt, but it’s because I bought a few pricey items - like 2 racks of ribs, and a corned beef brisket, and a big bag o’doggie kibbles… Plus some Tin Roof Sundae ice cream - for medicinal purposes. My head, you know…

**FCD **called while I was in Food Lion and said he wanted to take the rest of the day off. He was going to call my sister about meeting up with her and fixing her bike before she rides it from the boonies to her house. He never called me back, so I don’t know whether to pull out the smoker or not.

And as I was typing that, he called. We’re off to Baltimore to fix the bike when she arrives home, so we’re not driving all the way to Mom’s. And I’ll do the smoking tomorrow. So there we go. Such an exciting life…

I am oh so proud of [del]minions[/del] assistants and me! Here we are at almost the end of the third quarter of the fiscal year and we have met all, mind you, ALL, of our performance measures for the fiscal year. GO US! I will also mention that everyone of my esteemed colleagues have three [del]minions[/del] assistants and are woefully behind.

In other news I found out an applicant lied on his application. See, having some type of criminal background is not a reason to exclude someone so we don’t do background checks. However, some of the places where a participant may be placed may require background checks and it’s on that place to do it if needed. This is a question we always ask because even if it would not disqualify someone, it might make a placement more difficult in some circumstances. So, I get him all set up at this place that does do cbc and his comes back with some kind of felony that excludes him from bein’ around kidlets and this place is a Boys and Girls Club. Sigh. So he’s already enrolled in services and this is found out. Since he lied on his application, he is also bein’ terminated for cause. His reason for not lettin’ us know about this is because it happened in Noo Yawk, not Jawja. :dubious:

I cannot condone Noir can I approve of such egregious puns.

Speaking of egregious puns, the meat department at Mrs. Plant’s (v.3.0) place of business was robbed early this morning. She thinks the cops should have a steak out.

I have no beef with that.

I hope they roast that crook!

Is that a pun, or a vile clench?

Que, Syrah, Syrah, what ever will be will be.

Congrats to you and your [del]minions[/del]assistants! I have good ones at the new store, except the terminally blonde girl.

flytrap, have they caught the robber yet, or is he still on the lamb?

Is there any meat to your comment?

When they build a new stadium, they typically have a pre-opening “flush party” where they bring enough people in to flush all of the toilets at once as typically occurs for halftime/intermission or between periods/innings (depending upon the venue). Sounds like that’s what you did at work.

Tugig, as a runner, I am well aware of the concept that the laws of man are superseded by the laws of physics! Just because I have the legal right of way doesn’t mean I’m going to take it until I’m sure the driver is giving it to me.

If you get a baseball bat.
That was too easy.
Swampy, does that mean you can take the 4th quarter off???
Re: stealing meat - sometimes the ham fights back!
(It was serious enough that they flew him to a trauma center)

No, I’m just ribbing you.

N.O.L. has been consumed. I am inclined to go swipe the General’s dindin this evenin.

Maybe they’ll throw that thief in jail. That’ll loin him!

doggio these wine puns are enough to make me want to do bottley harm.

So you’d cut me with a Chardonnay of glass?

I say fry the turkey!

swampy, I had to let a warehouse employee go years ago for much the same reason. He was a temp, but we ran a background check on him prior to hiring him permanently and it came back with an armed robbery conviction in upstate NY a number of years before. Did I mention that he had to be bonded to work for us? The sad part was that he was a really good worker.
