What a great time. I’m sorry I missed the great Trivial Pursuit Spanking of Friday night, but my arteries are still thanking me for the horseshoe at Darcy’s on Saturday. Who would have thought that Springfield was the land of cheese!

Yojimboguy thanks again for the carpool. Two make the road shorter, really.

Tibs thanks for the suggestion and organizing. It was a bunch of fun, and great to meet you.

porcupine and ** Uncle Beer** it always good to see you! I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet Gizmo, though! And I swear, you will see my pictures porcupine, if it means doing lunch downtown one day, you will see them!!

Porcupine, thank you soooo much for bringing food and I’m so sorry that we didn’t actually MAKE it. So sorry, in fact, that I plan on entering another food coma by making it today and eating it all. And thank you for the wine and champagne. What a very nice treat. Buddy Roger said, “That was very considerate of her.” I agree!

UncleBeer, man, if I ever have secret, I am telling you because then I know it isn’t going anywhere - even with pleading and begging.

CajunMan, Dr. Matrix, and TVeb - what a fantastic surprise! Like smoking a moderator pipe. Congratulations on the 23 years. What an amazing accomplishment. You have your hands full, TVeb.

Katsu, you definitely win the award for covering the most distance to attend Spffld. And for kicking ass at Trivial Pursuit. And for being the most sharply dressed and impressing a crowd with a pocket watch. And the charm contest. You are my trivial pursuit partner for life now. It’s the only way I can guarantee a win! Hey, when is the next road trip? There’s a lot of songs we have yet to sing together.

YO! Jimbo guy!, FINALLY we meet. Next time I am in Madison, I want to see art and then I’m dragging you to a Korean restaurant. Jane D’oh! - holy shit, those were the best vacation pictures I’ve ever seen. When do we get to see the rest? My apartment would be COVERED in those pictures. Next time, I want a picture with YOU with your head shoved inside a carcass. (God, that sounded horrid.)

Dyno, how come I end up with a pseudo husband after each of these things? You kick ass. When are we going to play Halo and eat half done chicken again?

DavidB, I saw what you left in my couch! Next time, leave change. Tygre, more D’arcy’s! more horseshoes! More eating! When, when, when?

And now, I’m off to take a long, hot bath and drink some hot chocolate (thank you, Gundy!) and sleep the day away.

Oh my God, I should so be cleaning up and going grocery shopping but I decided to leave it up to fate:

I called the video store and they have the Lord of the Rings game for XBox in. Um…so that’s what I’m going to do instead. WHEE!!!

Hell, it’s my day off. Why not completely enjoy it? heh.

SpiffleDope was absolutely fantastic! As were the Dopers there.

TVeblen and DynoSaur get major props from me for being willing to haul me around. Dr. Matrix wins my undying hatred for being two years older than I, but looking about fifteen years younger :smiley: Cajun Man, Jane D’oh, tygre, David B, Gundy, Uncle Beer, porcupine, and yojimboguy are all better people than I deserve to know (and my failing memory has left anyone out, it shows how much better than I deserve to know you all really are).

And major, major kudoi to our hostess, Tiburon, who is the best and sweetest person that I’ve ever met. Tibby, I was so overwhelmed by you that I still can’t find the right words to express myself. If I had a daughter, I’d want her to be just like you. (It’s probably just as well that I don’t, because now I’d be constantly harassing her: “See? See? Here’s your role model! Be like Tibby!" :slight_smile: )

Hey, any weekend I get to play Trivial Pursuit, drink a little, eat a horseshoe, play chauffeur, talk with all sorts of wonderful people, and take an impromptu drive to Chicago is all sorts of cool with me.

I won’t go through the whole list, as many people have already done it, but it was great to meet everybody. It was really weird that tygre and I haven’t run into each other in our “regular” lives before, considering the many similarities that we found in our children’s schedules.

But I think everybody wants to know – Tiburon, did you meet up with your newfound Brewhaus friend after everybody left? He sure seemed eager to get to know you! <running & ducking>
