What did you all think? I thought Melissa McCarthy’s character was quite refreshing. Except for a self-pitying scene in a bar with her co-worker, I thought she was making good choices, stepped up to the plate and improvised on the spot and didn’t apologize for her weight. I thought it was a sly satire on the James Bond franchise and I thought Jason Statham was pretty funny in his role.
I thought it was very funny. The casting choices were all perfect. The cupcake necklace, Aldo, Rick and the boat and Bradley’s true self were my favorite parts.
I tried to buy a cupcake necklace (I thought it was hysterical) but it turned out the original was handmade and sold on Etsy in 2010, and the maker was contacted in 2014 about making 5 more for the movie (which she did). No more are available. She’s selling ones with one eye now.
