So far we’re stocking up on chili, bean burritos, and the best baked beans ever. I guess we’re planning on recreating that scene from Blazing Saddles.

I sent this out in the e-mail, but I’ll bring a key lime pie or two. Store bought, of course. You all would not want to try my first ever attempt to make one. It’s a shame there’s no way to reheat anything we bring. I make some seriously kick-ass jambalaya.
I am so bummed that I’m gonna miss this. I really want to meet you all. Promise you’ll take bunches o’ pictures; 'kay!? For those that have never been, you’re in for a treat. Be sure to check out the Fort itself; 'tis haunted, you know.

This lady and her pies won’t be able to show up, I’m very sorry.
The pollen in the air for the last 2 weeks has messed me up beyond belief, I can’t go outside for any period of time without risking more problems, and I can’t call in sick to work anymore (this year anyways).

I’ll be showing up with my spawn in tow. He just turned ten. Anyone else bringing their kids? I hope so because if not I may not show up. I wouldn’t want him to be the only kid there all bored with nothing to do.
No kids of my own, but maybe we could toss a frisbee on the beach or something. I think there are volleyball nets down there, too - perhaps we could all play…
