Barring that, my red Dodge Dakota will be there. It has Colorado plates so that might stand out a little. I’ll probably be there around 1:45, hey Lucretia and Bluesman, any way you guys could show up a little early with me so I’m not there by my lonesome? I’ll bribe you with…green chili! Okay, that is fast becoming my only bargaining chip around here. It’s not like there’s anything to set up, mostly just the act of being there so random people aren’t trekking all around Ft. DeSoto.

Here’s a better map . I’m planning on being at East Beach, so when you get to the T in the road, turn left. I’ll be on the right side of the road. Like I said earlier, red Dodge Dakota. I’ll try to make a sign, but I’ll definitely have the truck. Planning on 2pm, I’ll be there a little early for everyone to look for.
The easiest directions I’ve found have been to take 275 (or US 19) south to the Pinellas Bayway, and follow the Bayway to the entrance to the park. When you get to the T in the road where you can go to East Beach, North Beach, etc., follow to East Beach (I don’t personally know which one is better, but I just picked it because, well, I get to pick ). Then look for my truck. Give me a call if you get lost, although it shouldn’t be too hard to find.

We shall be there at 1:45! We being myself and the Blueskids. Bluesman, unfortunately, had to answer his country’s call this morning. (It was literally, a call. At 4:00 a.m. Did not make me happy). Anyway, I don’t mind showing up early, and I’m fairly sure that it won’t be all that hard to persuade Blueskid1 to show up early to keep you company, either.

Awwww!!! I’m sorry!!! We were chilling in the corner by where my truck was, you should have walked about and asked groups of people if they were missing a 6 6 6! I’m sorry you couldn’t get a signal, but yes, we had a good time.

Well, there were mosquitos, and a raccoon named Ed Zotti. The Bluelings got a baseball stuck in a palm tree, and it was funny to watch them try to fish it out. Meeting everyone was pretty cool, Shibb punked out and couldn’t make it. Apparantly we lost 6 6 6, which makes me feel really bad. I wish he could have gotten a hold of me.
I played soccer for a little while, and met a lot of really cool people. Got my cheese stolen by joe and his wife, although I think they were plotting it the entire day…

I wish more people could have shown up, the ones that said they could anyway. We all seemed to have a good time though, and I’m sure we’ll get together again!
:smack: I could have sworn the 15th was a Sunday which is the day I have to work. Well, I couldn’t have made it anyway since I can’t trust my car for more than a few blocks to get to and from work. So I stayed home and got stung by wasps instead … it wasn’t much fun. At least you guys had a beautiful day.
Just got back to the land of the Caloosa. Had a good time and took some good pics, some not so good pics and pics of dopers. It’s sort of sad that I took more photos of the mortar batteries at the fort than I did of the dopers. This was possibly the first weekend of really good weather this season, and yet there was no traffic getting to the beach. I wish now that I’d gotten there earlier so I could have played in the water first. I just need to find a place to post the ics so I can link to them.
