I had to work; I should have begged off, but I couldn’t. I’m sorry to have missed the fun.
I stole the cheese. We had a cooler full of ice, and it was melting, so I put it in there. Completely forgot it was there.
Anyway, we had a wonderful quiche last night when we got home…
(just kidding) Lady, give me a ring and I will be glad to arrange for the safe return of your cheese. To be honest, I have no idea what to do with 2 pounds of it 
Since I only work one day a week at the second job (thanks Hills. Cty schools for the puny pay), and I had already requested the 29th off, I didn’t want to be persona non grata and request yesterday off too (it’s Homecoming season, ya know.)
Hubby and I will be going to the Brooks and Dunn concert on the 29th (OK, I really want to see Big and Rich…). Anyone else going?
Completely forgot, my ass. You were plotting it the whole time. Ill be in your area on Weds., are you free around 9 pm?

I hadn’t been to a Dopefest in a long time, and this one was a lot of fun. Highlights were, as always, meeting new Dopers, including another one that lives just down the road from me! My little neighborhood is surprisingly Doper-heavy, it seems.
I’m honored that it was my progeny that contributed the lasting mark of our presence there. Everyone was very cool, and I hope to see everyone again really soon!
I thought that the eldest Blueskid wasn’t going to make it.
In my defense, The Boy had his first ever hits in his baseball game yesterday. He reached base 3 out of 4 at bats, with a walk and 2 singles, and scored three runs. He was very excited and taken with himself.

I forgot to thank Joe for the burgers. And all those who brought soda and chips and such. I stuffed myself pretty well but should have gotten a burger for the road…
Come to think of it, I should have stayed on after everyone left and enjoyed the beach. I had my trunks after all.
We’ll definately have to have another fest there so I can check out the rest of the Fort.
