Star Trek Enterprise 3x18 Azati Prime (spoilers)

I thought it was because your mommy and daddy loved each other very much?

And I appreciate it. I like someone else taking the nitpicking heat now and again. And, irregardless, I enjoy your commentary. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just rewatched Azati Prime (I was watching everything from stragagem onwards) and I noticed a few things.

In the teaser, the first shot in the Enterprise is of that blue thing that falls on Maywether at the end.

Nice music all the way through.

People (here or otherwhere) have said that the red giant shouldn’t be so big. Actually, it probably should be bigger. I calculated last night (pay attention now: this exclusive report involved whole minutes of research) that when the sun becomes a red giant, its diameter as viewed from Pluto will be five times its diameter now when viewed from earth. Its disc will be almost 30 times as large.

The reptilian suits seemed different from those before. There was no purple suit under all of the wires.

Why was the sky of the waterworld still blue with a red giant? Is that possible?

Why wouldn’t the laser beams cause the water to boil?

Hilarious Quantum torturing. No, not like that!

Why doesn’t the Enterprise use the insectoid weakness they found last week?

Viva, it occurs to me that you’re a fraud. You and possibly all the other teachers out there. I’ve noticed, over the years, that teachers make quite a production out of correcting grammar and spelling. They tend to sigh and point out errors with pained expressions, as if weary from carrying the burden of living in an imperfect world.

But.

All it takes is a little observation of your comments in these threads to notice your not so hidden glee as you pounce upon mistake after mistake. You “tsk, tsk” as you point out each slip-up but the underlying satisfaction practically screams it’s presence.

C’mon, Viva, admit it. You get some sort of perverse charge out of it, don’t you?

A - Blue would still be the shortest wavelenght of the scatterd light, right? I would think the atmospheric compositon would have more to do with the sky colouring than the source light because of the scattering effect.

B - Depends on the wavelength of the light. In eye surgery, different colors affect different types of tissue, for instance.

C - RAID!

I must have missed a staff meeting. What weakness was that?

Linus , I have never denied that I take great pleasure in issuing such corrections. By the way, you wrote “it’s” when you should have written “its.”

corner case, there is no such word as “irregardless.” It doesn’t matter how many people use it.

I know that you’re all doing this shit on purpose, too.

It’s obvious.

Scott Bakula sent me a picture postcard.

That’s all.

Oh, and sometimes I really enjoy profanity:

That’s it.

Oh, I quite agree. Using the word “irregardless” is as desirable as scraping fingers on a blackboard. Irregardlessly, you wrote “corner case” when you should have written “Corner Case” - proper nouns, 'nd all, dunt 'cha know. :stuck_out_tongue:

[sub]NB: I still get irregular email notifications of thread changes so please excuse any delays in responding.[/sub]

In ‘Hatchery’, M. Hayes found that by firing torpedoes at the insectoid ships’ impulse manifolds, they can destroy the ship. Tried it once, actually, and it worked

How much longer until Damage?

Got your tape yesterday, viva. Something was wrong with it and I missed the first half of Joan because the audio wouldn’t work. The last end of it was good but I didn’t care too much for the pull my finger scene for its sophomoric humor in addition to what it implies. If they give him his legs back, I will be very annoyed.

I also watched the first forty minutes of SNL due to nascent masochism and found some of it halfway decent. I didn’t care too much for the Passion of the Dumpty cartoon but the Gigli skit and the opening monologue were both good. Regardless of what others think, I believe Ben Affleck is a good actor.

Tina Fey isn’t as hot as she used to be. What’s the scar on the left side of her mouth?

I want to see Jersey Girl.

Also, I’ll be watching Century City tonight to see if it’s any good. I saw the first minute or so last night before dozing off and it looked intriguing.

Hoshi.

Hush your mouth!

Nobody knows and she won’t say.

Good gad. This is like posting with Nero Wolfe.
I am presently typing on my keyboard.

Well, in my defense, I have recently fallen in lust with Lisa Loeb to atone for my sins.

Since lust is a sin (one of the seven deadly ones, even), you can sin and atone at the same time! Isn’t that convenient?

(sigh)
Believe it or not, I really do know the difference between a possessive pronoun and a contraction. Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla would be so disappointed.

Okay, then:

Corner Case
Zat better?

Well, I’m not a Christian; I don’t ascribe to the seven deadly sins.

Sorry, Aes. Was that a green 8 hr. tape or a cheapo LDK tape? 99 cents doesn’t get you much, I know.
P.S. RE: your earlier post, I think my folks accidentally bumped into each other a couple of times. Hence, brother and me.

Whoa. Viva yelled your name… I’m jealous. She’s only done that to …

Um. Nevermind.

Don’t you even aspire to them?
