The time machine itself returned to the 22nd century alone. IIRC, the guy tried to make off with Data and some other technologies but was thwarted. After seeing his machine pop off in time without him, Picard reassured him that the 24th century’s historians would like to talk to him about the past. Which I assume was meant to be slightly ironic.

I wonder where it ended up. I’m shocked it hasn’t been found.

The civilization that created the probe was the one Picard experienced in the episode. They created it as a memory of their world so their world would not be forgotten.

I was wondering if they ever found that world though. Picard analyzed years of star positions to try and find out where the heck he was. I was hoping that he had more than a flute to show for it. For a guy who experienced decades in another civilization, I was surprised the Federation’s archeology department didn’t haul his ass off a starship and made him recount everything he remembers down to the alien sex he experienced

BTW, have you read Voyaver Virtual Seasons 7.5, 8 and 9? They are some of the best examples of Fixfic I’ve ever seen.

I believe they didn’t realize it until they were already dead. I was a bit surprised they didn’t beam them back for a proper funeral. I think that’s why Kirk doesn’t get one.

(Well, that, and he’s still alive. Now that there will be no more official work in the prime universe, I consider the novels canon.)

Are you referring to Crusher? He may have just stopped for a visit in Nemesis. I mean, two people he cared about were getting married. The uniform could have been just for show. Deleted scenes are deleted.

Since Vulcans have copper-based hemoglobin and their blood is green, does that mean if say a human male were to engage in a shocker with his Vulcan girlfriend, he can’t say “two in the pink” right? What color would it be? Pine green?

Thanks for posting that. I can accept that version of Kirk’s story, and consider [del]canceling the contract I put out on[/del] forgiving the guys that wrote Generations.

Wasn’t Azetbur (the chancellor’s daughter) in Undiscovered Country the one who carried on her father’s peace plans after his assassination despite the conspiracy to torpedo them? And IIRC it was the female VULCAN in that movie who was part of the bad guy conspiracy.

S’chn T’gai Spock['s]…full name was revealed in TOS novel: Ishmael. In TOS episode: “This Side of Paradise”, Spock said that his full name was unpronounceable to Humans.

Missed this. The Borg did some pretty nasty damage in the latest set of books.

I really, really want to read them now. But I wanna catch up on all the “beta” canon first.
