Star Trek II - The Wrath Of Khan (SPOILERS!!)

You guys are SOOOOOO lame.

Revenge of the Jedi is going to be radical!

That’s right!
Radical!
It’s my new word.

Trelane? What, are you nuts? Godlike creatures, fun for one episode, but seriously, where’s the challenge? It’d wear out the second time they did it.

On second thought, you know what? With this increased budget for movies, I hope they do some nonhuman aliens. We could actually see the Horta!

Howd you get that prototype? You a friend of Steve Wozniak? Meet him at the Us Festival?

My ][+ is getting to look bulky… does this //e have a sleek new case?

This post brought to you in age four-o-vision!
I liked the movie. It was verwy vewry vewry vewry good. I liked the expwosions. Kirk was verwy mad. Mad mad mad. He liked to yell. Just like my parents! The Bad Man had all his guts and stuff all over him, it was cool. I liked the guts and stuff. But i was sad at the end. i cried and cried. Where is Big Bear? I sad!

Sure does, Jeff. I work for a cellular phone service provider. You’ve heard of them, I’m sure. They’re awesome. I mean like totally! So, I get to trade around, doing coke and shit with some pretty funky characters. I scored the //e from a Samantha Fox lookalike at the Up With People concert. Man, she looked cute in those leg warmers!

But, yeah, I think Apple and Basic are the wave of the future. That Lisa Macinwhatever is just too wierd. People want to type in code, not play with video “icons”.

And, personally, I think both Star Trek and Star Wars are pretty much finished. I mean, what else could they do?

Ain’t it sweet when kids post? Coochie coo, Tar Baby!

When the worm thing was in the ears i was scared, so i hid under the seats! I found some gum there, it was good.

Star Trek fans, order the movies, from best to worst! Here’s my ranking:

21

Spoilers?? KAAAAAAAHHHHN!!!

I liked the little movie that showed how the Genesis torpedo could remake worlds. Was that computer animation? You think there will ever be feature-length movies made entirely with computers?

By the way: Ricardo Montalban was NOT wearing prosthetics; that chest is all his, all natural.

Why couldn’t the Enterprise just fire phasers and blow up the Reliant before the Genesis torpedo exploded? Surely the explosion of a matter-antimatter reactor would destroy a seven-foot-long torpedo, or at least damage it enough to keep it from working.

You think Bibi Besch (Carol Marcus) will be in the next movie? Or will they completely forget about her?

Spock couldn’t have implanted his entire mind into McCoy’s brain; there’s no room in the human brain for two personalities, two sets of memories, two sets of everything else that makes each one of us an individual. (There’s no truth to the old belief that we only use 10% of our brains.) Besides, if Spock had done that, how could he have walked and talked and fixed the Enterprise’s carburetor AFTER implanting everything that he is in McCoy’s brain. I think Spock was just saying good-bye to a dear friend.

You think this internet thing will catch on?

I thought of that too when I was writing of how I disliked the “brain implant” theory, but then I realized he could have made a copy of his mind, not a transfer. Your other arguments seem sound though.

I wonder if it was just Spock implanting memories of all the logical arguments he won, sort of a last “fuck you, human!” to the illogical doc.

I don’t get the mistake for Ceti Alpha V either.

I mean if you just count out from the star it should be pretty easy to figure out which is V and which is VI. Now if Kahn was supposed to be on VI and V blew up that would make sense. I can’t wait for a LD of the movie.

I read a rumor that Nimoy might get to direct the next one. I hope they let Shatner direct one too.

This was soooo much better than the first one. I hope they keep making Star Trek movies 'cuz you know they’ll just keep getting better and better. I’ll bet if they could make a Star Trek V it would be, y’know, like THE BEST MOVIE EVER!

Laser disk, Ha! The RCA Gold Video Floppy Album Like Thingy ™, will be the wave of the future. It’s even better than Betamax. Now if we could only record on it.

For the Spock’s brain nits, couldn’t he have used some sort of deep layer recording onto The Matrix of the living cells in DeForrest’s body, bypassing the brain all together?

(Cool, there’s a Firefly outside my window.)

And, you know, if they do let Shatner direct, I hope Gene keeps a reign on Billy’s ego. Though I hear he’s a fairly decent writer… Time will tell. I just hope Shatner doesn’t {Tek}Lord it over everybody.

Gotta go. Miami Vice is on! (or is it, yet?)

I really miss Star Trek. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could come up with a new series? Maybe call it A New Generation or something?

You mean a series with a new, younger, cast? BLASPHEMY!

Isn’t it weird that the even-numbered movie was really good, and the odd-numbered movie was terrible?

I just read in Stephen King’s new book “Danse Macabre” that Harlan Ellison’s original idea for TMP involved the Enterprise going to the edge of the galaxy and meeting God. I hope they use that eventually. Nobody could screw up such an awesome story!

I was really on the edge of my seat as Enterprise was limping away from Reliant after Khan activated the Genesis device. But thinking about it afterward, it’s not like they would ever actually blow up the Enterprise; that would be like sacrilege or something.

The Genesis Project computer animation was AWESOME! I heard they used this really wicked 70MHz workstation to make it. I’ll never be able to afford a machine THAT cool!
