"Star Trek" trivia contest

… is B-4 the designation of the one used for Data’s mom?

  1. Everybody knows James Kirk’s middle initial is T, for Tiberius. What other middle initial did he have, when did he have it, and where was it used?

James R. Kirk. Gary Mitchell put it on his tombstone in “Where No Man Has Gone Before.”

Zev Steinhardt

**{Zev, this only works if you post at least one question after you answer a question} **

Nudgingly yours,
Jim

No. I forgot about her. :smack:

Zev Steinhardt

Sorry.

What was the name of the freighter ship that was destroyed by the M-5 computer?

Zev Steinhardt

That would be #21, right? The answer is “Woden.”

3.) The USS Farragut and the USS Republic.

8.) Diana Muldar. I forget the name of her character in TOS, but she was Dr. Kate Pulaski in the second season of TNJ.

Some more questions:

22.) How many crew members were on the Woden?

23.) Kirk made an enemy of someone because of an incident on the Farragut. Who was that person and what happened?

24.) What was Ezri Dax’s family name?

25.) In TNG: “Relics” what was the drink Data gave to Scotty that he could only identify as being “green, sir?”

26.) Paul Winfield played Captain Clark Terrell of the USS Reliant in Star Trek II. What other role in Star Trek did he play?

#25 introduces a very tantalizing prospect for another question, but I don’t know the answer without looking it up. Maybe someone else will be able to take advantage of it.

I’m pretty sure that was Romulan Ale.

  1. The final season of Enterprise included a 2-part episode featuring the mirror universe. Which two other TOS episodes were referenced?

#28 What profession did Spock’s mother Amanda practice, presumably before she married Sarek?

Nope. Romulan Ale is a different color.

“Mirror, Mirror” and “The Tholian Web.”

But were you thinking of two eps or three?

School teacher.

In Star Trek II, a midshipman took offense when Kirk ribbed Scotty about the condition of engineering.

29.) What was his name, and what was his relationship to a member of the senior staff?

30.) What animal did he compare Kirk to?

31.) Why did Project Genesis fail?

32.) What religion did Khan practice?

33.) In DS9, which member of the central cast was replaced by a changeling?

Tholian Web is correct. The other is still missing.

(Mirror Mirror is implicit in it being a Mirror Universe episode. That’s why I asked which other TOS episodes it was referencing.)

Aldeberran (sp?) whiskey

  1. What was Spock’s wife’s name?

  2. How did Worf explain the difference in the appearance of the Klingons when he, Dax, Sisko, and O’Brian travelled back in time to TOS episode “The trouble with Tribbles”.

  1. Dr Bashir.
  2. T’Pring.
  3. Not an exact quote, but it’s an internal matter and not one discussed with outsiders.
  1. What song could Riker not get right on the trombone?
  2. What was the name of the tribble predator from TAS?

Aw crap. :smack:

I’ll throw out a guess: “The Cage.” They might have referenced Captain Pike while they were looking through the computer.

Spock never married, unless you’re referring to T’Pring, who he was arranged to marry until she invoked the Kal’ifee ceremony, if I spelled that right.

“We don’t discuss it with outsiders,” if memory serves.

36.) Who did T’Pring really want to be with in “Amok Time?”

37.) How many women was Data romantically involved with? Bonus: name three of them. Phase distortion bonus: name them all.

38.) What was Seven of Nine’s human name?

39.) Robert Duncan McNeill played Tom Paris in Voyager. What role did he play in another series that overlapped with his character’s background?

40.) What happened when Chakotay helped B’lanna Torres go on a vision quest?

In Star Trek II, a midshipman took offense when Kirk ribbed Scotty about the condition of engineering.

29.) What was his name, and what was his relationship to a member of the senior staff?

He was Scotty’s nephew.

36.) Who did T’Pring really want to be with in “Amok Time?”

S’Tonn

41.Who in the original series offered someone something “green” to drink?

  1. Who was he offering it to?
Spock never married, unless you’re referring to T’Pring, who he was arranged to marry until she invoked the Kal’ifee ceremony, if I spelled that right.

Technically true. But, when Nurse Chapel Says “She’s beautiful Mr. Spock. Who is she?” He replies’ "My wife. ".

Sorry, can’t remember his name on 29.

Scotty. The scene with Data in “Relics” was a reference to this episode, but I won’t name it because I already looked it up earlier when I couldn’t remember it for another question I was going to ask.

He was one of the people from that planet where everything happened at blinding speed. They came on board the enterprise and sped everyone up there too. This particular guy was guarding Scotty, who got him drunk to trick him into letting his guard down. I want to say they were from Eminar V, but I think I’m confusing that with “Armageddon Game.”

I see. So how’d that really work? Did she anull their marriage or just the engagement? I’m not asking this as a trivia question, I just want to know.

43.) What were the names of Shuttlecraft 3 and 5 on the Enterprise A in Star Trek V?

44.) Who were the two magnetic boot-equipped assasins in Star Trek VI?

45.) Star Trek V and VI had a “guest” actor that appeared in both. What’s his name, and what roles did he play?

46.) What ship did “Thomas” Riker get assigned to at the end of “Second Chances?”

47.) 'Nother Riker question: name two of the ships HE served on before the Enterprise.

Actually, that’s entirely probable, but I’m thinking of something a little more major about half way through the second part. Something involving an actor and costuming. And a species that I don’t think was even mentioned between its TOS appearance and this, unless I’m forgetting something.

By “Armageddon Game” I mean “A Taste of Armageddon,” and I’ve looked up my hunch but I’ll leave it up to you to tell me whether it was right or not.

:smack:

Oh. That. :o

Damnit. I can’t remember the episode.
