"Star Trek" trivia contest

Because he’s Charles Tucker III, ‘Trip’ being a not too uncommon nickname for the third in a family to carry a name.

Instead of asking another question, I’ll just repost my earlier unanswered question:

  1. Who is the father of Seska’s child?

As were Grace Lee Whitney’s twin sons.

Sir Rhosis

  1. Maltz (John Larroquette)

You’re more thoroughly confused than that. The drinking bout thing was in “By Any Other Name” and the aliens (Kelvans, IIRC) were from the Andromeda galaxy. In “Wink of an Eye”, not everyone got sped up.

Unnumbered: Which ToS episode featured a real spaceship?

Unnumbered +1: How many ToS episodes involved time travel?

I’ll take a stab at this one and say 3. Two co-husbands too, if memory serves. I’d like to ask how many children he has, but I don’t know the answer without looking it up.

He was in a relationship with K’ehlar, Jadzia Dax, and he and Deanna Troi were definitely dating at the very least. He had a fling with Ezri Dax, and you could also make a case that he hooked up with Pulaski too (there was an episode where they strongly hinted at that, but I forget which one it was). There was also that young lady from the Romulan “prison camp” for Khitomer survivors, but I forget her name. And as I recall, either Lursa or B’etor DID bite him on the face.

I hope I didn’t miss anyone. And y’know, this raises interesting fodder for discussion: of every central character on Star Trek, who is it do you suppose that got the most action from other members of the core cast or recurring character of any series? Looking at that list there, seems to me that the strongest candidate would, in fact, be Worf.

Hooking up with multiple co-workers? Man, Klingons ARE brave.

He definitely was a Kazon (was he even her husband?), but earlier I said he was from the Ogla sect. I was wrong.

So, 70) whether or not you can name him, what faction was Seska’s husband actually from?

  1. What key piece of Federation technology were he and just about every other Kazon after?

  2. What was Odo’s full name, and what was its significance?

  3. What was the name of the woman from Riker’s holiday fantasy, and how many times did she show up in TNG?

  4. Apart from Chekov, there was one other member of the Reliant’s crew that had served on the Enterprise. Who was it?

On preview, nice work, Sir Rhosis. That one was bugging the piss out of me so I looked it up. Same with a bunch of others I couldn’t answer. :smack:

…that I couldn’t answer and HAVEN’T answered either (Like Otto’s question about the song Riker had trouble with. Or the first episode where the Gorn showed up. Gah.).

Wow, damn.

“Assignment: Earth.” It was some version of Saturn V rocket, but in the episode it was supposed to be a type of nuclear missile being tested.

  1. In Insurrection, what adolescent Klingon malady did Worf suffer from on the Ba’ku planet?

  2. What was Sulu’s nickname?

  3. Beverly Crusher had one too. What was it?

  4. What message did the Horta manage to burn into the rocks in “Devil in the Dark?”

  5. What breed of cat was Spot (hint: there’s more than one)?

NO KILL I

John Schuck played the Klingon prosecutor in one of the movies, and I’m blanking on the other one. However, he appeared as a Klingon again in Enterprise, as one of the researchers who created the bioweapon used to convert Klingons to more human-looking.

  1. What key piece of Federation technology were he and just about every other Kazon after?

Replicator.

  1. Apart from Chekov, there was one other member of the Reliant’s crew that had served on the Enterprise. Who was it?

Lt. Commander Rand.

  1. In the entire franchise, how many times did they successfuly manage to eject a warp core?

Wow, this is going well! I’ve added episode/movie cites where I knew them:

  1. Stonn, not S’Tonn (TOS “Amok Time”).

  2. USS *Gandhi * (TNG “Second Chances”)

  3. USS *Pegasus * (TNG “The Pegasus”), USS *Hood * (TNG “Encounter at Farpoint”)

  4. Chakotay… probably.

  5. USS Defiant (“First Contact”)… and a Klingon Bird of Prey, didn’t he?

  6. USS Intrepid (TNG “Family”)

  7. Data’s temporary command was indeed the Nebula-class USS Sutherland, named after Horatio Hornblower’s ship (TNG “Redemption, Part 2”).

  8. I feel… fine (“STIV: The Voyage Home”).

  9. Transporters

  10. Chief Kyle, not Rand (“STII: The Wrath of Khan”)

  11. Tiny - and he hated it (“Don’t call me Tiny!”) (“STIII: The Search for Spock”)

  12. The Dancing Doctor (TNG “Data’s Day”)

  13. Once by the USS Voyager; once by the Enterprise-E in a movie (I forget which one).

If you’re talking about the holo-honey from 10010110 or whatever it was called, her name was Minuet. She showed up I think one other time, in the ep where The Cutest L’il Alien Orphan in the Universe tried to make Riker think he was kidnapped by Romulans.

a zit.

Half answer, the actor’s name has irritatingly gone from my head. Wagner something or another?

In V he played a human ambassador and in VI the Klingon Chancellor Gorkon.

Since I half answered I don’t think I deserve to ask a question :frowning:

24.) What was Ezri Dax’s family name?

I don’t think this has been answered already. Teegan. (Spelling might be off.)

  1. The final season of Enterprise included a 2-part episode featuring the mirror universe. Which two other TOS episodes were referenced?

In addition to those already mentioned, there’s a reference to Conscience of the King which could only be seen in HDTV – when Mirror Archer and Hoshi are looking at the histories of their counterparts, regular Hoshi’s biography notes that she died on that planet goverened by Kodos the Executioner.

66 Who is the captain of the USS Columbia NX-02?

I believe it’s Capt. Jennifer Rodriguez.

  1. whether or not you can name him, what faction was Seska’s husband actually from?

Maj Culluh, I think of the Kazon Nistra.

As for the special guest star, his name is David Warner. He also did a memorable turn as the Cardassian who tortured Picard.

OK, I’m pretty sure about Teegan and Rodriguez, so I’m asking two questions. I’ll wait for confirmation of Culluh’s sect.

  1. Zephram Cochrane was a major character of Star Trek: First Contact. Name or describe three other episodes in which he appearaed. (Descriptions are OK because I don’t remember the name of one of them.)

  2. Joseph Sisko and Odo might not have much to talk about, but two people who looked a lot like them must have had at least one secret conversation. What was it?

–Cliffy

Oh man, three eps he actually appeared in? I know one was the first episode of “Enterprise” callled “Broken Bow.” He was described in an episode of Voyager as Seven of Nine told some member of the crew that the borg have detaield files of the event. :stuck_out_tongue:

He appeared in the first episode of Enterprise - giving a variant on the Where No Man Has Gone Before speech, IIRC. On a television screen.

He also appeared in the aforementioned Mirror Universe episode of Enterprise, doing a Mirror Universe re-do of the Vulcan first contact scene in…er…First Contact.

Those 2 I’m 100% on. This one, only 75%:

I’m pretty sure he also appeared in the TOS episode where all those historical people were brought back to life for the ‘good vs evil’ fight.

Nope, although as my next question:

Unnumbered since everyone ignores my numbering anyway) Name the historical people brought back for the good vs evil fight.

The third Cochrane ep is IIRC “Metamorphosis,” in which Cochrane has been kept alive by “The Companion” who bonds with a Federation commissioner to live happily ever after.

Argh, I’m so close on this one. They were both in ST VI as members of the conspiracy to disrupt the Khitomer conference. I think Rene Auberjonois’s character was name Colonel West, and I don’t remember Brock Peter’s characters name, or exactly which part of the assassination they were involved in.

It was Odo Ital. It means nothing in Cardassian, since the Bajorans labelled him: unknown sample.

I don’t think Worf’s parents have been answered yet. Their episode was just on Spike recently. It was Sergey (or Sergei?) and Helena (or Elena?) Rozhenko.

Well, I’m gonna assume that’s 1+.5+.5, so I’ll ask two questions:
86) What recurring characer on TNG changed sex?

  1. Which main character was replaced permanently by himself from the near future?

I’m lazy  - would someone please recap which are the as yet unanswered ones? Meanwhile I’ll try to think up a few of my own to throw in

Kirk, in Turnabout Intruder

Data, in Nemesis
