Trailer is still claiming Christmas. I think they’re wise to wait - if they bump it up, they’re running into Marvel territory, and I can’t think of any serious competition over Christmas.

The half-melty mask bit was a little weird.
The giant wreck on the dunes was so damn pretty. I’ve imagined something like that for ages, especially how it was used at the end of the teaser.

FWIW, the SW cartoons (most recently on Star Wars Rebels) have several times shown Star Destroyers within planetary atmospheres, moving slowly or even hovering in one place. They’re apparently not limited to deep space.
They should if it SW at least tried to be realistic, but as I said, WHO THE FUCK CARES :), this is SW

Seeing that crashed Star Destroyer made me suddenly jones a bit for SWTOR. There’s a few wrecks to run through in the game, and I suddenly realized how long it’s been since I beat someone senseless with a Lightsabre.
It took me a third viewing to realize the was Luke’s robotic hand reaching out to touch R2.
I can’t wait to see what else the years have done to him.

It’s not the same speech exactly. The quote from Jedi is:
“You’re wrong, Leia. You have that power too. In time you’ll learn to use it as I have. The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it and… my sister has it.”
The trailer is something like:
“The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. And you have it, too.”
Mostly the same words, but a different order and slightly different cadence.
I thought he said “Chewie, we’re home.”
The robot at 1.21 will be the new Jar Jar Binks.
