I believe I read the same script these guys read.
If you read that script review I just linked to, you will laugh at how wrong they were. But on paper, the fuller 1997 script wasn’t that bad.
Here are Captain Phasma and Kylo Ren masks that speak lines from the movie.

Interesting.
BB-8 is honest to god making me a grown adult want to go out and buy a toy BB-8.
And I think this illustrates an important point about this trilogy and the prequels, the cute childish comic relief stuff in the prequels meant to appeal to kids grated on adults like Jar Jar, but stuff from the OT like 3PO and R2 and now BB-8 appeals to kids while also appealing to adults.
This was the failing of the movies tone.
I wonder who he’s says that to. Are Ren and Finn going to be equals? I suspect he’s gonna beat up on Finn this first round with Finn coming back in epVIII or IX to finally win. Or maybe he says that to Luke before taking an ass whooping.
I’ve got a bad feeling about this…
I just went to Target and was visually accosted by all the Star Wars displays. Honestly, I don’t know what the displays are for, except that they are Star Wars and the new movie doesn’t come out for another 3 months.
I’m thinking Star Wars saturation is about to happen.
