Star Wars KOTOR on Android

Before there was Mass Effect and Dragon Age, there was a fantastic RPG from BioWare set in the Star Wars universe, called Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This is one of my favorite games of all time and unbelievably, it is available on Android now–for FREE!
You can get it through Amazon’s Underground Apps:

I have started a play-through again and the controls are pretty decent as adapted to the smart phone interface. It’s amazing to think that a game like this can easily run on today’s phones; just goes to show how incredible phone technology is these days.

I figured there are some folks on here that remember KOTOR fondly and would appreciate being able to play it again, especially for free. Give a shout if you are playing through it again, it is very nostalgic and a great time for me so far!

How are the graphics? I loved the game when it first came out, but when I tried to replay it recently the blocky unemotive character faces made the game almost unplayable for me.

It probably helps to have it on a smaller screen. The graphics look pretty good for a phone game. Although to be fair, I am not up on the latest other phone games, so maybe there are games out there that put it to shame.

The one part that suffers is the interface for Pazaak. For some reason everything is a little bit blurry there. Nothing that makes it unplayable, but it is definitely noticeable.

I didn’t enjoy dealing with the touch interface to move the character down the corridor. So, when Amazon released it as Actually Free, I was inspired to play it again on the PC.
