Second-fastest-selling XBox Live Arcade game of all time (behind Minecraft): 250,000 copies in 48 hours.
It is still fairly rough around the edges, with graphics glitches, occasional framerate issues, and quests that don’t always seem to sync quite right. Otherwise, though, it is just the game I was looking for: open-apocalyptic-world with little hand-holding.
Warning: this is NOT a sandbox game. You die, you’re dead.
I’m playing it and really liking it. Note that while there is perma-death and no going back to old saves, you can switch around between characters so if a character dies, you can continue as a different one.
I am really liking the game.
Although not super crazy about the perma-death because of the wonky camera and the wall glitches. I’d prefer the ability to have a “master save” at the homestead with the ability to revert back to it if need be. Sometimes having to wait for an auto-save to kick in when I’m done playing is really annoying.
