Following up with what gobear and tlw said-- I doubt the OP wrote this by himself. His track record doesn’t suggest this level of parody or satire. I mean, he’s certainly not the brightest bulb in the bunch.
Plus, people as obviously foaming at the mouth as this guy don’t usually have the patience to come up with and write such a long post.
But maybe its a Manifesto–like the Unibomber’s. About as factual as well. It would take me two days to refute the post line by line (and it looks like every line can be refuted on some point; or at least provide a valid interpretation that challenges the OP’s assertions). But what would be the point? The OP seems like the type that, if you gave him a passage from Shakespeare, he’d eat the paper because he wouldn’t know what else to do with it, poor fellow.

I’d take this rant a lot more seriously, but Election Day is November 5, 2002, not November 24th. I dunno if New York is having theirs later, but I plan on being at the polls on Nov. 5th.

I am a registered Democrat, with Green and Libertarian leanings. I am a liberal by most definitions, but conservative in some ways. I’ve never voted for a Republican. I am worried about the Republicans gaining control over the Senate. I generally disagree with the Republican platform, but I can accept that rational and well-meaning people can arrive at a different conclusion.
I’ll do my part to keep the Republicans from gaining too much control, but I refuse to be a loony about it.
