Seriously man. PC microphones cost like five bucks now-a-days if you don’t get a headset type deal.

It’s generally not a huge deal, I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t get one - it makes communication faster and more personal, and they cost like literally $8-12. And they’re almost essential for some stuff - I’ve been skipping over inviting micless people whenever we play realism in l4d2 since you become such a liability that way.
I saw PC mics at a dollar store once. I even bought one, but never hooked it up to see if it somehow wasn’t worth a buck.
The day after a steam sale is depressing. Ah well, only a month till the gigantic Christmas sale of doom. I’ll be making a thread for that.

This turned out to work fine, FYI. Worked as well as the 10 buck one I bought previously.
I just recently replaced my mic.
I couldn’t find one for less than $20.
Best Buy, Office Depot, Target, the cheapest was $19.99.
There are dozens of mics on amazon.com under $10, and headsets under $15.
I regret not buying left 4 dead 2 when it was $5. However to be fair I bought L4D part 1 about a year ago for $5 on steam and never played it. So I figured I should play it a bit instead of buying part 2 when I saw it was on sale. It isn’t bad, but I’ve only done about 1/4 of the maps. maybe part 2 will be on sale again during christmas.
