Steam Game Collection Poll

Steam has had a ton of amazing sales over the last 9 months. My game collection has skyrocketed because of those sales.

It’s also really easy to see how many games you have on Steam so I figured I’d start this poll to see what other people’s game library looks like.

Also, it looks like Steam isn’t counting the free games anymore, so if you knew the number off the top of your head, like I did, you’ll have to look it up again because it has dropped.

Btw if you don’t know how to check, go to your community page and where it lists the games you’ve played in the last 2 weeks it’ll say “View all ### games”, that’s your total.

I think you’re the SDMB leader with 189, at least I haven’t seen anyone with more. I’m close with 183.

I think I’ve only paid full price for maybe 10 or 15 of them though. Some day if I’m bored I’m gonna go through my purchase history and figure out how much I’ve spent per game… probably like $5 average or something, considering all the package deals and 75%+ off ones I’ve gotten.

Edit: Btw, Steam has only started tracking the total time on all games since November (or maybe December), so a lot of the games that appear to be unplayed actually got played before then.

Steam Calculator does that for you.

Steam calculator has been wrong lately (it’s missing random games), and I don’t mean the combined retail prices on my account but the actual amount I paid for all that stuff.

Edit: Maybe steam calculator has been fixed lately, it’s showing a lot more games correctly for me now. Says the retail value of my account is $2320, but I think what I’ve actually spent is probably a third of that.

I have 37 Steam games, not including expansion packs or redundant games (i.e. Fallout 3 and Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition count as one game).

Not including DLC’s and expansions I’m at 24. I have to restrain myself sometimes when I see games on sale, as I don’t even have the time usually to play the games I already have loaded (I’m still trying to free up time to play Mass Effect 2). Lately I’ve been playing the new expansion for King Arthur, which I originally got simply because I saw it on sale on Steam (along with all the then DLC’s available), and it looked cool.

If I could I’d buy every game on Steam, as it’s really easy and it let’s me load and play games on my laptop when I’m frequently on travel without having to bother with keeping CD’s and such with me.

Steam tells me I have 114 games. Good God! I guess all those combo packs really add up.

I’m probably not even on the podium with you guys - I came in at 163. Those combo deals can certainly rack up the games quickly!

In the Community page, it says I have 45. In the Games tab, under Show All Games, it says 43. Not sure what the discrepancy is.

Doesn’t work for me; says I’ve been a member since 1970 and have no games (I joined Thanksgiving 2008 and have 46 games, including one expansion).

My community page says I have 62 for some reason; it’s 46 when I count them.

Who’s the one with 200-250? I’m curious.

/lurk mode off.

I am showing 210 on my games list. On my profile it says 237. Steam is evil and they force me to spend too much money on sales.

/back under the rock.

I’m limited to what’s available for Mac. Currently at 26. Would be much much higher had I a PC.

31 for me.

Impulse would add another 12, if you count expos as individual games.

  1. Portal

  2. Half Life 2

That’s it.

Wait, do they carry Braid? I have it, but didn’t get it from Steam.

If you don’t mind sharing, what’s your profile name? Or you can provide a direct link like I did in post 2. I’m curious what’s in your massive collection, and also to see when I manage to surpass you some day :stuck_out_tongue:

Same as my user name here. I am also part of the SDMB group.

DAMN - I’m under 20 - you guys are hardcore!

I lucky/unlucky that most games won’t play on my laptop or I’d have WAY more.
Actually I’m suprised at the games that do run well; HL2, Portal, Alien Swarm and others all run fine.

I wonder how many of those polled have a Call of Duty game on their list.
