The “view all XXX games” number includes DLCs, which is why it won’t quite match up to you opening your game list and counting them all, but for the sake of consistency and simplicity, it’s easier for us to use that number as a point of comparison.
Last year I had 183. Which you think would mean I have enough games and could relax a bit, but… instead I went nuts and almost doubled them. I’m now sitting at 321. Maybe now I can slow down a bit.
Oh, I didn’t realize DLC counts toward that tally. I have 84 “games” that way, but 44 individual games, not including DLC, expansions, and GOTY duplicates (and both Mount & Blade games counted as one).
Manually counting it was 29, but 30 using the shortcut. I should have selected 30 to keep it consistent if everyone is counting that way, but regardless…I feel like such a lightweight.
Maybe I should have included my Impulse, GOG, and Direct2Drive games too…
Just added the Humble Indie Bundles, now I have 91 games listed, many of which I haven’t played at all. My New Year’s resolution is to buy less games and play more games.
Not sure exactly, I voted 20-29. Pretty sure it’s something in there. Would be a lot more except I’m limited to their Mac selections which is only about 120 games so far, and 20 or so of those are DLC and expansions.
I think the poll needs a striation between 1-5 and 5-19. I suspect there are a ton of people like me that only have one or two games that were must-haves (Civ V!). I’d say having 15 games is quite a lot different than having 2.
This sale allowed me to break the magical 300 barrier!
Although I suspect I will now run into the problem of the few others who have gone completely spastic during the sales - there is almost nothing left to buy. I already own everything I want.
The other problem I was having during the sale was finding a great deal on an interesting looking game and thinking, “OH MY GOD I MUST BUY THIS RIGHT NOW,” only to realize I already own the game when I clicked the page.
196, although that includes DLCs I guess. Steam rating of 9. It would be 10 I’m sure if I had the Steam version of City of Heroes instead of the regular version.
This happened to me more than once as well. I learned to check my library before clicking on the Buy Now button, thus saving me a small amount of dignity.
