I am a very long time Steeler fan, but live a long from Heinz Field.
No-one I know has even the faintest interest in either football or, indeed the Steelers.
I bleed Black and Gold.
So…
What I am wondering is …,
Is there anyone out there who might be willing to meet up with me to go to a Steeler game perhaps sometime this fall?
I will be traveling from a distance, but will stay in a downtown hotel and would like to meet at said hotel and then to walk to the stadium.
One problem is, I do not know if Steeler tickets are readily available - should I try with Stub-hub or other.
I so much want to see a game at Heinz Field (my bucket list!!)
Me, mature female, die-hard Steeler fan, just want to go and wave the towel soonest.
Stubhub is likely the way to go (or buy from scalpers prior to the game). The Steelers are coming up on their fourth full decade of every game being sold out, so it’s very tough to get tickets. (they’ve sold out every game since the '72 season) I usually go to at least one game a year, but that’s because my father in law is a season ticket holder so we get his seats. (I’d offer the other, but I think my wife, who might be a bigger Steeler fan than me (and that’s saying something), would slit my throat.)
The atmosphere is pretty awesome, I must say…especially for division games or playoffs. I’ve been to 4 playoff games, and every time I feel like the stadium might crumble from the noise and jumping. Good luck!
