This has nothing to do with how I look physically, but similarly I’m tempted to do something like that while I’m working. I own my own business cleaning for a living now and there’s a definite underlying classism involved with certain types, and it really makes you want to occasionally bow up and prove your intelligence to fight their silly misconceptions that anyone who does manual labor must be stupid and unable to do anything else. But like FCM, I grin and bear it and move on.
Pictures my lady or I don’t believe you.
Who thinks they do fit stereotypes? It might be the better question, but they come from somewhere.
I am a software engineer and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I also enjoy science in general and regularly attend lectures by scientists in a diverse range of subjects from astro-physics to sustainable grazing practices. I do not like sci-fi, fantasy fiction, comic books or video gaming at all.
I do take showers.
Six and a half foot skinny guy, with a seven and a half foot wingspan and enormous hands (I can span a 13th on a piano). Hate basketball.
I work in the strongly Republican-biased aerospace industry, and I am a liberal Democrat. Someone once asked me (in jest), “I didn’t know they allowed your kind to work here.”
Plus, I own guns. When the right wing shit flies heavy at work, I tell them, “I’m your worst nightmare. A liberal with guns.”
Same here.
I’m a programmer, but not a geek. I do a lot of home construction stuff. A few years ago, I added a two story addition to my house.
Having been around gay people my whole life, I have to say, they can be paralyzingly dull.
I’m a woman. I have no desire to ever gestate a fetus.
I am a leftish wing union rep, who believes that state benefits are only for those who are truly unlucky, and help out in a temporary crisis and that most claimants should do what I do, get a job.
I don’t believe in Cuba solidarity, unlike a significant number of my colleagues, nor do I believe that ‘The man’ is automatically the enemy.
Yes I am a socialist, in the sense of ensuring everyone in society has a realistic chance to thrive and that privilege does not grant immunity from accountability
I also believe that everyone has the right to make bad choices as long as it does not harm another person - yet we seem to have society full of people always keen to impose the ‘right choice’ - they tend to be left wing types.
Yes I did vote BREXIT, I really do want people coming in to the UK to hold a criminal record checked visa - especially when I come across the extremely serious criminals that left their EU homeland to restart murdering and raping in UK - freedom of movement has its limitations.
So as a stereotype union person, many of my views are pretty much on the right.
I’m a professional trader and have never partaken in either hookers or blow.
I’m a minority American, but vote conservative.
I am Asian, but terrible at math, yet a fast sprinter.
I prefer to be where the buck stops.
So I am:
a pilot
a solo sailor
a soccer referee
to go where others won’t … by myself
Had my last two molars pulled today.
I do not sell drugs.
I’m an anarcho-liberal city-dwelling Green party voter (and look the part), but I own guns, go hunting as much as I can, and am a devout omnivore.
I’m from south Louisiana and I don’t care for cracklin".
In high school, I was a scrawny, white, D&D playing, Space camp going, nerdy guy. Also got 8th in the state in long jump.
Please continue using the indicators - don’t forget to keep your blinker fluid topped off
I’m a lesbian, but I’m also pretty girly. Some people still assume lesbian = butch or at least tomboyish. Not exactly a “femme,” either, since I usually wear trousers in the winter for practical reasons, just with pretty tops.
Despite being girly, I used to play football, like DIY and am not in the slightest bit squeamish.
I’m forty, but my main hobbies are embroidery, gardening and detective programmes and books. I am basically a granny thirty years early.
I live in social housing but I’m well-educated and until I became disabled was not dependant on benefits.
