I think his reported age is correct. It’s a matter of record that he joined the military when he turned eighteen near the end of World War II and that would be consistent with his reported birth year of 1926.
Robert, Jimmy and John still regularly play (not sure I’d call it touring, but they all still play), just not together.
I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure they’ve all played with Jason Bonham (Bonzo’s son) at some point or another.
JPJ just recently played with the Foo Fighters. Robert is doing his folk thing with Alison Kraus and Jimmy seems to pop up all over the place. His tour with the Black Crowes was amazing.
Don’t forget, of those three guys, Jimmy is the only one older than 70. They’re really not that old.
Last night apropos nothing in a particular a friend told me about Professor Irwin Corey, alive and still performing despite being older than God’s parents.
Well, I didn’t think Page had died of old age. From what little I know of his life Jimmy Page seems like he would have been a plausible candidate for a relatively early death for drug related reasons.
Harry Dean Stanton is 89
When I saw him at the Page/Crowes concert and he looked like this, instead of this, I nudged my friend and said “I guess he quit doing coke”. I mean, those pictures are nearly 40 years apart, but I just wasn’t expecting him to look so different.
But it seems like most classic rock guys are about 70ish years old and if they made it through the 80’s and cleaned up their lifestyle, they should have a few more years left.
Lois Lane! (Noel Neill)
GlaDOS
Page, Jones, and Bonham all want to play together as Zep, they just can’t get Plant on board.
Phyllis Coates is also still alive at the ripe old age of 88!

Sort of a Ginger and Mary Ann question, eh?
(I’ll still take Noel any day! :o )
Abe Vigoda is neither dead nor is he outside, looking in.
The website contains a link to download “Abe Vigoda’s Dead (premortem mix)” by Spinnwebe (feat. Bauhaus). (Or is that the other way around?)
I was going to mention Jack Larson, but darn it, wouldn’t you know. He died today. No fooling.
Jimmy Olsen’s dead?!? Oh, nooooooooooooooooo!!!
I can think of three celebrities that previously surprised me with their longevity, alas, none are still alive.
Fay Wray died in 2004, at age 96.
Eli Wallach died 2014, age 98.
And bandleader Raymond Scott died in 1994 at 85 years old. He wrote a lot of the music that Carl Stalling borrowed for the Warner Brothers cartoons in the '40s. You’ve heard his song Powerhouse, even if you don’t know the name. I had just heard about him, and was looking for any recordings of his work that were available, then saw his obituary about a week later.
Eddie Vedder
For a long time, Luise Rainer was one of these people. She won back-to-back Oscars in 1936 and 1937 and stopped making movies shortly thereafter. But she stayed alive for decades, making her the ultimate “She’s still alive?”.
However, she finally died last December at the age of 104.
Every single time a celebrity dies, Abe Vagoda chuckles and whispers, quietly on his throne “There can be only one.”
Didn’t she lose a foot to gangrene a few years ago? When I heard about that, I was sure she’d be gone within a couple of months, but she’s still hanging on.
She’s also outlived her daughter, who died back in January.
Al Molinaro is still alive? Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep…
I honestly thought he passed years ago.
