Can anyone help me learn how to find how many shares are outstanding in a given company? I’m actually trying to find this information for onex.sv.to (Onex) but if there is a method of finding it out for any company that would be great too. I’ve left a message for their investor relations department but haven’t heard back yet.
Yahoo finance includes it in their information - click on “key statistics” on the sidebar after looking up company via the field at the top of the page. Unfortunately, it may be grayed out for OTC stocks or stocks on foreign exchanges, like yours. The Onex symbol on the Toronto exchange seems to be ocx-sv.to, BTW:
Even if it’s grayed out, the shares outstanding should be the listed market cap divided by the share price. Note that “market cap” for this gem is listed as “N/A” though.
