However, my point in starting this thread was not to argue whether Paula Jones WAS truly a victim of sexual harrassment. That is another debate.
What bugs me are her assertations that IF a woman’s boss pulls out his dick and requests a blowjob, this is NOT harrassment because no trauma should be suffered. That women should chalk it up to “men being men” and shrug it off. That women who WOULD BE traumatized are the equivalent of Aunt Pittypat swooning.

In another memorable pit thread, Stoid called another poster out because he was insensitive to the trauma she suffered when anesthesia didn’t work properly. She attacked him voraciously for being insensitive to her very real trauma. And I backed her up. Because whether or not HE felt she should be traumatized was NOT THE FREAKING POINT. The point is that she clearly WAS traumatized and we, as civil members of a community, should be sensitive to that.

Were the Paula Jones allegations isolated, I might be more inclined to dismiss them as negligible, as far as sexual harassment goes. (Although I find wring’s “we have to look at Arkansas law to see if Clinton is really Jones’s employer” assertion positively … Clintonian. Would a state employee feel the governor of the fucking state was in a position of authority over her? Give me a break.)
It’s less easily dismissed for many thinking individuals, however, when viewed in light of the allegations by Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick.
