Stonebow gave me a puppy for Christmas! I need name ideas!

Puppy? You really have a pupppy? How cool! Call her “Puppy” for now. She’ll tell you her real name when she’s ready for you to know.

I gotta dittto this. Whenever I name a pet immediately, I always end up changing it. I always end up “accidentally” calling them something else, and eventually one name just sticks. (I have a parrotlet now, that I named Spritle originally. But his name just kind of became Bebop. Nothin I could do about it.)

Brunhilde. Hildy for short.

How 'bout StoneFaerie, or FaerieBow, after her parents!

My last dog was a Norwegian Elk Hound that seemed to be always hungry. So I named it

MA-HER-SHAL-AL-HASH-BAZ

from the Bible book of Isaiah. It means, “O hasten to the spoil.”

And please hurry. Travelling these highways and byways is very draining.

I vote for Noel…
It’s not German, but it just seems to suit the pictures

I want a dox, but I don’t know if we’ll ever get a dog (they’re more upkeep than we’re wanting right now). And I have her name picked out already (it’s not even remotely German, however), but I’ll loan it to you if you like it. Ready?

Moxie.

Moxie the doxie. It couldn’t be better! And your pup looks like she’s got plenty.

OOOH!!!

How about FRESH ?
Then, it could be…

DOGGIE FRESH
Six minutes

Six minutes

Six minutes, Doggie Fresh, you’re on

Ah ah ah on

Ah ah ah on
[…]
It’s all because of you

I’m feeling sad and blue

You went away

And now my life is just a rainy day

I love you so

How much you’ll never know

Cause you took your love away from me

Ah boo hoo hoo hoo hoo

Don’t cry

Dry your eye

[… etc…]

Reminds me of a similar picture of Jaspar, The Good Dog on James Lilek’s website. His caption: This picture causes cavities if you look at it too long.

I’m late, I don’t know how I missed the thread, but I say you name her Bela.
