Q,
The sweetest victories are those most hard-fought. I’m glad you won, but I’m also glad that the ordeal is over. I wouldn’t wish a road that long or hard on anyone and its a victory to me to just see you on the other side of it & smiling.

Awesome news, Quasi!
And I agree about the taxes thing. I had the same thing happen to me, and we spent all the money on getting me a computer for school, and then later had to deal with taxes. I was pretty young, so I don’t know exactly how it worked out.
But still, I am very happy for you and “D.”
LM!
PM’s checked and replied to!
Thank you SO MUCH for the offer and we hope to see you soon, my friend!
Quasi and D
And plus: There are SO MANY of you who are my “forever friends” whom I haven’t mentioned, but to do so would be to tax my poor brain to pieces, so if I haven’t said “thanks” to you in this thread, pleeeeeeze let me know and I WILL correct. I mean it.
There isn’t one of my Doper buds who wouldn’t get a hug from me if I could meet all of y’all!
Our very sincere thanks to all of you for being there for us!
Bill and Dondra
Congratulations, Quasi! I’m very happy for you and Dondra both.
(What does it say about me that I almost bolded Dondra’s name?)
Glad to hear you finally got to the end of that road. I’ve gotten two payments so far, but no back pay. I sat around the SS office for an hour and a half to talk to someone. He said he contacted the payment center and "The Check is in the Mail"™.
I never heard of that five months thing. Is that new?
That you’re a nice person. I, like many others here, feel like bolding is a courtesy.
Note to E-Sabbath: E, you had asked about the problem we had with D’s disability payments (they overpaid her and want back 47K). The other thread turned into a train wreck and I asked for it to be closed
It was suggested that even though she’s appealing, she should not arrange for monthly payments, because they automatically re-filed her for disability and she should wait to hear back because there may be a change. I don’t understand it, myself.
She’s appealing the decision and Soc Sec switched her over to normal retirement payments, which will mean a $200.00 a month loss.
E-Sabbath is a friend and asked a question here and I wanted to answer him. It isn’t an invitation to re-open the closed thread.
Thanks
Q
Bill, that’s great news.
Glad everything is looking up. Hope all else is well.
Keep the chin up, my friend.
Ric
Thanks, Quasi. It just ‘vanished’ on me, and I didn’t know why, and I couldn’t remember enough to find it again. End of that.
Stay safe.
