Stop your grinning and drop your linen… 18-36 inches of snow for Colorado predicted.

Hub loves to plow snow. I just showed him your pic. He has snow envy.

Nope, Hoosier pass. Between Breckenridge and Fairplay. I must say that 100+ degree days does not sound like any fun at all.

This is the time of year I start running out of places to pack the snow. It’s really hard on my plow truck. My car is usually parked about 15 feet further back but that’s snow storage now.

The dogs are freely walking over our 5 foot fence. I’m a little worried that they may get in trouble with some wildlife. But so far so good.

It was a bit of a bust down here in the southwest metro area - maybe 6 inches of snow on Friday, and rained all day yesterday, so the snow on the roads and parking lots is already gone. But, tons of moisture, so yay for that!

Bwaha. My Wife is shoveling snow off our deck.

In her bare feet. Says something about what a clear sunny day does up here.

I love my Colorado girl I do.

How long did it take the snow to melt? One of my employees is running a phone book distribution in S. Denver area (Castle Rock) and he claims that his people were able to properly deliver 12,000 books/day “cause the snow was entirely melted by Sunday afternoon.”

:dubious:

That sounds like the Colorado Front Range (that is, NOT where Enipla lives). They rely on what I used to call “solar-powered snow removal systems”. That is, instead of plowing the roads, they waited for the snow to melt (they did plow the major highways, but never neighborhoods or smaller roads), and it mostly does melt pretty fast. They think they get a lot of snow in the Front Range, but those of us who know what a lot of snow is know that it’s not true.

We got the storm here in da UP on Sunday and Monday. There’s a good 12" of heavy, wet snow in our yard. It sucks, since the snow had mostly melted and it was starting to look like spring. Now we’re back to winter, and, even worse, icky warm wet winter. We can’t plow our (very long) driveway because it’s dirt, and the snow is so wet & muddy that our snow plow guy is afraid he’ll do damage if he tries to plow it.

We got the XTerra out this morning, but just barely. The next few days will be interesting, as it’s supposed to be 70 degrees on Thursday. Mud mud mud.

The ground and roads were very warm when the snow started and the snow was very heavy and wet. Then it warmed up and turned to rain and rained all day Sunday. Yes, even in places that got 20" of snow the roads were never a big problem. Six inches of slush rather than snowpacked and icy. It ran off quickly. Today the forecast is for 77°F.
