There’s kinda a difference. Lesbian scenes in porn are written and directed by straight men for straight men. Gay scenes are written and directed for gay men by gay men. Neither really cares what women think.

To answer the OP’s question: yes, I enjoy male romances, even explicit ones but I’m not a huge fan of gay porn, it seems to be too mechanical and I find it boring after more than a few minutes. I like gay-themed movies that have a romance like My Beautiful Laundrette, Maurice, Brokeback Mountain, etc. I also avidly read slash which, as Cat Fight pointed out, is a huge genre of fan fiction and written primarily by women so it’s not an uncommon preference.

While that’s true, there certainly is a large amount of lesbian porn made by women and mostly for other women (who may or may not be lesbian or bisexual,) but wouldn’t necessarily be described as butch.
