Strange little thing Otto cued me to on the IMDB actors.

My actor is Phoebe Cates . Hot, but kind of boring.

My movie is The Soldier’s Courtship which is apparently the very first non-documentary film made in the UK, in 1896. Cool, I suppose, but I never heard of it.

I was hoping for Elvis and Highlander.

Bruce Lee - IMDb The late Bruce Lee

I got Richie Keen! Yay! http://imdb.com/name/nm0007193/

And the movie Poderoso caballero? Poderoso caballero (1916) - IMDb

I am Carla S. Nemec and I am sometimes credited as Carla Nemec, and I worked on “Firefly.”

On film, I am The Livid Flame. In real life sometimes too.

I get to be June Allyson: June Allyson - IMDb

No idea who she is, but she looks pretty respectable, Walk of Fame and all.

The movie is Poverty and Compassion: Poverty and Compassion (Short 1908) - IMDb

A silent film? Good god, how long have I been on this MB?

Joey Accardo.

Yeah, no one but his mother’s heard of him either.

My film is a Wallace Beery flick, The Rookie’s Return. AVAST!

#1432

Name is Charlie Korsmo, child star last seen in Can’t Hardly Wait in 1998, and before that Hook in 1991.

Film is 1910’s *Uncle Tom’s Cabin*.

Cool. I’m Frederic Chopin.
And I am the 1915 film Satan Sanderson, starring Irene Warfield.

Wow – do they get any bigger than the famed Anette Autzen, production manager on the 1986 classic 40 Quadratmeter Deutschland?

I’ve never heard of my movie either – A Lady Without Passport.

I got Rebecca Romijn aka Mystique of the X-men movies.

My movie is Ghosts a movie from 1915 that I’ve never heard of.

Huh, what’s my SDMB username number? Do we all have one?

We have looked deep into your soul and assigned you a number based on when you joined.

You are #27978. If you bring up your user profile you will see your user number in the address bar. If you have an active status bar in Internet Explorer, your user number also appears in the status bar when you hover your mouse over the your user name.

You get Milena Andonova Milena Andonova - IMDb
and Mon père avait raison My Father Was Right (1936) - IMDb

Jim

Aleksander Bardini, Polish guy, died in 95, never heard of him or any movie he did.

My movie is The Savage Eye

I think I’m in the running for most unpronouceable IMDB doppelganger: Ara Babadzhanyan .

My movie match is apparantly an old Mel Blanc short, Hoppy-Go-Lucky.

Ok, that was weird. Those weren’t for me.

My move is http://imdb.com/title/tt0054286/ Seishun zankoku monogatari
Described as Misanthropic and Dull

My actor is the same as my previous post.
Evidently, if I put in my correct number 54286, Imdb switches it to 54270, hence the confusion. Silly me, thinking that what I type is what I get.

Don’t forget, imdb was started by a group of friends. So they assigned the original numbers probably. The history of the imdb is pretty interesting.

Chu chu chu chu…ah ah ah ah…

Le Couronnement du roi Édouard VII

The chu chu chu ah ah ah is from the Friday the 13th films, not A Nightmare on Elm Street.

In the Border States, a 1910 film by D W Griffith. I know I’m old, but that’s simply ridiculous.

As a consolation prize, I got Susan George. A lot more attractive than D W Griffith.

I got Oscar-winning composer Dimitri Tiomkin, who composed the theme to “Rawhide”

*Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them dogies rollin’
Rawhide!
*
