Since there appear to be a few Homestar Runner fans on the board, I was surprised not to see a link to this week’s rather unique Strong Bad e-mail, featuring the off[sup]13[/sup]-Broadway rock opera SBEMAIL! in commemoration of his 125th e-mail.
It seems that all this time, Strong Bad has been secretly writing a rock opera, hiding one word in each of his e-mails. Now, it can be revealed for the first time! Just don’t expect it to make any sense, is all.
“Hey, Anonymous! Why don’t you write a poem or something and not attribute it to yourself!”
I was impressed at how quickly the good folks at the Homestar Runner Wiki were on to this. Less than 24 hours after it was posted, they had a nearly-complete context list for each of the words as well as the script for the episode and all the easter eggs. Bravo!
The level of geek obsession shames me. I’m just not dedicated enough to my passions to put that much work into them. Although I will spend a lot of time reading through the Wiki and re-watching the various toons and emails…
