Just because I’m trying terribly hard not to whine, I just need to know that all the other students are there are in (or are approaching) the same boat.
I have:
Due one week from today, major group project. Expected deliverable at 50+ pages. We don’t want to talk about what hasn’t been completed so far, but there’s a lot. Presentation for the project is the 22nd.
4/20: Project presentation for another class. This project is just me, and involves a comprehensive search for a researcher. First set of results is going to the researcher tomorrow to make sure that I’m heading the right direction. Paper for this project is due 4/27, except for one part that includes locating items from the search and describing how it was done. That part is due the 20th, along with the presentation.
4/26: presentation #3, based on a 20-25 page research paper. I turned in an outline in February, but have done nothing beyond locating articles since them. The paper is due the same day.
No final exams to take.
It will all get done, I’m sure of that. Now that the comprehensive exam is done and I’m waiting for the results, it’s probably good that I have all this wonderful stuff to keep me busy…but now that I’ve taken comps, I’m having a tough time worrying too much about classwork.
So make me feel better: what do you still have to do this semester?
Software Engineering project - Due 29 April (group of 4 with one member who can’t seem to adjust his schedule to make group meetings - but I’m too lazy to pit him) as well as the final exam the following week
Web Development project - Due 30 April (solo project that I can probably hack together in about 4 days) Thankfully, though, NO FINAL EXAM!
Final Masters Project - got a full year left on that clock, but I would like to grajeate sometime in the next few months.
May all Doper students get the Slack they richly deserve.
Two different ~15-18 page papers due April 26, I think. I’m thinking about getting started on the necessary research for those soon.
Some sort of as yet vague GIS group project involving local bike trails. It will involve producing about a zillion maps and then making up some kind of report which will eventually be given to whatever powers in the county are actually involved in trail development. I’ll be due the first week of May.
A few finals in the first week of May.
In short, probably just what people would call easy undergraduate stuff. I can still put things off for a while. Hooray for procrastination!
1 5 page paper that’ll count as an oral presentation.
1 8-10 page paper on a topic I haven’t picked yet.
1 5 page paper on a topic I haven’t picked yet.
Research paper due–April 19th, 3pm
oral exam cringes–April 14th, 11:30 am
journalism assignement due–8 1/2 hours from now, and I have yet to actually start.
8-10 page essay paper due at the end of the semester, another warm up essay (progress report and annotated bibliography for the research paper), a revised essay ( I want a better grade), finals in every class (5 classes) a couple geology field trips, and then a week off before I start summer classes.
I’m on spring break right now, so I’m not trying too hard to think about assignments. I do, however, have a 4-5 page paper due Tuesday. I’ve yet to pick the topic, but I’m pretty much deciding between the Investiture Controversy and a comparison of Aelred of Riveaux and Thomas Aquinas.
I have a 3 page paper due Tuesday that I haven’t started, but it won’t be difficult.
I’m waaaaaay behind on case briefs for one of my criminal law classes. I need to have 'em all done by around the 30th. So far I have a low C in this class, but if I do all the case briefs and make at least an 80 on the final, I’ll get a B.
I have to make up a psychology test on the 30th.
I love school but I’ve been in it year round since last January. At this point I’m like “I don’t care I don’t care I don’t CARE.” And since I’m doing summer school, I don’t get any time off between finals. Oh sure, I’m only taking one class during the first session of summer school, and it’s a fun one, but it’d be nice to have a week off.
Personally, I’m having a hell of a time mustering up much energy for school because it’s almost summer and I’m dropping out anyway to go work at an awesome job.
8 short stories comprising half of the grade for the degree (I have 4 1/2 done and NO ideas for the rest) and a whole class with syllabus and lectures that for the teaching part that is growing exponentially as we speak and is looking to be between 75-100 pages. This was due the 26th of April, but we got an extension because they may be firing the head of the department and reorganizing the master’s program (we were supposed to have heard what was happening at the end of Feb., the middle of March, the end of March, and now the admin is just telling us “soon”)
THEN we get the other 50% of the grade after the summer–a creative thesis (that for some reason they call a portfolio, even though that, to my mind, is a collection of things and this could be one thing, like a novel). I am not worrying about that one yet.
And, yes, I am on the SDMB and not writing. It keeps some of the hyperventilating to a minimum.
1 10 pages paper
1 4-5 pages paper in Portuguese
1 2-3 pages paper in Portuguese
1 cumulative final in Portuguese
1 more reproductive biology seminar to attend
1 more quiz in cultural diversity
3 more birds to skin
Sounds like the case of senioritis that I’ve had going on (well, technically I’m not a senior, but I am in my last semester and that’s the same thing, right?)
Oh, and I’m job hunting too. Yay!
