Have their been any studies done on 9/!1 marriages? I’m interested in how things turned out. Marriage can be widow(er)s re-marrying or people who were prompted to take the plunge by 9/11, etc.
I still don’t understand what you mean by the term “9/11 marriages”. Do you mean marriages that took place on 11 September 2001, or marriages that took place as a result of the terrorist attacks that day? If the latter, I doubt you’re going to find any rigorous studies. Accounting for remarried widows and widowers of the victims is easy enough to do, but how do you quantify the degree of “9/11 motivation” for those who were single at the time? Even if some couples were scared into marriage in part by the attacks, they may not even have been consciously aware of it.
I remember reading that 9/11 motivated some people to finally take the plunge. I just thought it would be interesting to see if most of those couples are still together.
