What stuff has happened to you that’s made you think you were very lucky?
For me, it was getting back together with my girlfriend recently. As we had a very strong relationship, when we split up it was very hard on me.
Our getting back together came about after a series of e-mails back and forth. After talking on e-mail for so long, I think we had a chance to work out our differences, without getting into face to face high-emotion arguments (she is a very strong minded lady!).
Recently we agreed to meet up, and it’s almost like we were never apart in the first place! This has been making me feel very lucky recently, as for a while I thought I had lost her forever, and was feeling quite depressed over it.
So, what stuff has happened to you that’s made you think “Wow, life isn’t so bad after all!”?
I feel extremely lucky to have met my girlfriend. I thought back to all the things that happened so that I could meet her and there were so many events that happend in a small period of time that had they not happend I would have never known she existed.
Long story, but all I can say is that I thank an anonymous jerk who made a phone call, a couple of kids who were annoying in my hometown, and a few people I have never met and have no idea who they were.
Nothing is random, I don’t know how it is put together, but nothing is random.
After observing friends’ children and entire schools full, I am the luckiest mom in the world.
My daughter is the sweetest teenager; great imagination, creative, talented writer, witty without being too much of a smartass. And she adores me.
And she makes brownies to DIE FOR.
Rush, these are the kinds of stories that make me want to have kids! They seem to bring so many people joy and happiness. I know it’s normally the woman who is supposed to want children the most, but I’m an old fashioned sort of guy…
